I truly hate these ruins, and dash jumping in general. I can do dash jumps reliably when I don't need to do it, but when it comes time to do it I either fail or fall short. Or I get hit by an enemy and get thrown into a pit. I must have spent about an hour last night in this place trying to dash jump at specific places, only to quit.

Taking a bath in lava would be a nice and quick way to get clean. Just be wary that it doesn't remove your skin too!
