Water vapor or steam is collected in a different container than the solids that precipitate from the liquid. distillation is not the most effective way to get rid of fluoride in water. To get rid of fluoride you need a reverse osmosis filter system. They aren't cheap. Distillation should take care of most minerals and other solids that make water hard. It is not considered the best thing fluoride.

Elemental fluorINE is exceedingly toxic, just like chlorine. However, sodium chloride is safe because the chloride ION is very stable and not toxic at all.

Similarly, fluorIDE ion is even more stable. It is introduced as an ionic compound, probably sodium fluoride, but I'm not sure. Despite the toxicity of elemental fluorine, it is safe as an ion, and in the ionic form your body can easily do whatever it does with fluoride to strengthen your teeth.

Actually, the fluoride needs to touch your teeth. A fetus doesn't even get any measurable amount of fluoride from the mother drinking tap water, since there's already so little of it to begin with.

Trivia fact: Fluoride actually makes your teeth more brown. That's how we discovered it. Some town had residents with brown teeth, but in very good health. We realized that the natural spring they drank from had a ton of fluoride in it.

If you can taste the lead in your water, there's probably thousands, or even millions of times more lead in it than the average tap water.

Also, it's probably due to the pipes in your home. Water moves way too quickly through municipal pipes to collect any significant amount.

I checked out some of the studies you referred to. It seems the results were in many cases inconclusive and the danger of fluoride was a subjective assessment where someone said something like "well it still MIGHT be dangerous", but also cautioned that the study wasn't sufficient to know for sure. There didn't appear to be a clear consensus on the issue, just judging by what I read.
