My youngest son's favorite book. I read it to him everynight at bedtime. He is developmentally disabled and now he is 21 years old. He still enjoys reading this book.
Wow, my granddaughter just toddled into the kitchen this evening with this book in her 14 month old hand and handed it to me to read. it is times like this that we know why we are here. she played while I read it to her and laughed at her grandpa as I stumbled thru this masterpiece. And now here it is on my subscriptions. Tomarrow I hope to read her "Fox in soxs".
Keep in mind that the White House Easter Egg Roll has been hosted at the White House south lawn since the 1870's. And was only canceled a few times (during WW's I and II) - so this is not a "new" activity. Considering how poorly things have been in this country, letting the children have fun (and some of the adults too) is not too much to ask for. They also sold tickets to the event, so some of the cost was probably offset by that.
Ahaha this guy is a trip

Also Stern reads (poorly) from a later, abbreviated edition.
He cheats the children of several stanzas.

AmSLan doesn't rhyme.

Sterns departs from a rather strict script by Seuss.
Apparently he didn't bother to prepare.

Haha he looks like he's getting so into reading the book himself, he forgets the kids are there half the time. x-P
