In the original PSOne version of thsi game, it wasn't a diskette. It was a mini-disc (which is strange, because this game's story happens in the year 2005 and considering this is a remake, the choice of diskette doesn't look normal to me).

@Patchnose If ya got to the end of the game, it's shown that Naomi made "alterations" before it was administered to Snake, so by the look of it, it was altered to affect older people first.

However for some reason Ocelot didn't get affected by it, possibly due to his age at the time of MGS1.

I personally like that this has some different lines and acting. Sometimes, it's a bit weird (Snake pissing out over an old man's forgetfulness is a bit...yeah).

I mean, when I wanna buy a game, I'm not paying for just a remake, I'm paying for a full game! The original MGS is its own game and the Twin Snakes is its own game, as far as I'm concerned.

I think it's most the fact that you make your opinions too well known, everyone's enttitled to their opinions but you shove yours down everyone's throat and attack anything that doesn't match your thoughts.

Not only that, but your idea of what a remake should be sounds more like an update. A Remake should be more of a re imagining of the first game that's still faithful, if anything, this version is TOO faithful, most of the levels are exactly the same as in the original, which is a tad boring.

Uh, you just don't get it. Adding new features is one thing, but altering the cutscenes most of the time is unexcusable. I find it hard to believe it was Hideo Kojima himself who suggested this. It's more like Ryuhei Kitamura gave him that suggestion. Maybe the thing about this beeing Kojima's own idea was a cover story.

Honestly, if you are NOT altering the cutscenes, then you aren't remaking them, you're updating them. Integral and VR Mission felt more like expansions rather than updates, same thing with Substance for MGS2. Subsistence is the only game I've seen where it's both an expansion and an update. They actually added a few cutscenes and made some minor alterations. And technically speaking, with more facepaint and camo, the cutscenes ARE altered.

Once again, you said "maybe", which means you're not sure fo what you're saying. In the original version, he was also emotional, but he never did something like that. And it wasn't necessary at all, because Baker remembered where the Codec frequency was written on. Besiodes, Snake was sent there to free the hostages, not to threaten them. Face it, there was no excuse for this. They should have just made it like it happen originally. And 'Metal Gear Solid 2' doesn't excuse this scene.

on attacking this game i think the newer cutscenes are pretty cool its like a spin on the original i like them. :) the only thing (only 1 thing) i absolutely hate about this game is the VOICE ACTING! Compare PSX ver to GC ver on vocals and you'll have to be death to not agree that the voice actors did a real shit job @ voice acting for this game and the vocal's effects were shit (compared to the original PSX ver wich SOUNDED BETTER) PSX=better audio GC= Better Graphix pretty much
