While the videos may be popular, the game was not. The last year and a half of it's life, the game was woefully under populated. Often no more than 15 games open at one time. Couple that with rampant glitches, a long standing lack of new content, virtually no marketing to potential players, and an extremely unfriendly user community and it becomes very clear why this game went the way of the Dinosaurs.

Ofcourse it helps quite a bit, but without works fine too. Pay only after you've played for a while and you really like it.

When you start playing though, I advise you to avoid the "All" game rooms; only join rooms for your level, else you WILL die alot.

Exteel is like Gunz on crack. Controls are unresponsive, the lock on is horrible as hell, and everyone is jumping everywhere and you'll most likely get your kill stolen before you

kill anyone. In gunz you don't need to lock on, you just point where their character is and shoot but in Exteel if you point but you're not locked on it wont hit no matter what. Fucking horrible.

IN gunz you cant play if you dont spend a year on youtube learning k style and that stuff if you dont learn it you can never ever play gunz because at lvl 11 people just keep slashing you and teleporting all over the place and your like wtf hacks and then you get kicked for being noob.

You dont need kstyle to be good at gunz, the opposite. Everyone thinks kstyle is the "proper" way to play gunz, which makes KStyle vs KStyle unbelieveable long and difficult in matches. Best way is to use DStyle or EStyle with a brain and good revolvers with a good accuracy.

In gunz, you can just spam your weapon. In Exteel, you can't because you have to be locked on. Also, it's way harder to dodge bullets in exteel because you're locked on. In Gunz, all you have to do is jump around. That takes no skill at all.

All it took was for one of the players to have 60+ ping, and if you jumped around and switched directions a lot, you appeared to be teleporting constantly. This made it impossible to lock on, and when using the sword you had to hit the air where they would teleport to the next time they teleported, which was pure luck. Before people realized you could do that, it was fucking awesome.

Double splatter gun's are useless to me, They are so hard to work and shoot and stuff, More for pro players then new players.

If you are new, Just stick to double tommys and sheild+sword for a while.
