When a free society allows a build up of power so concentrated that the news media has the means to control what we see or don't see or what we say ,then our democracy is in mortal danger. Take care ADonovan43
Thousands of years of war for mankind;and we still have not learned to get along with each other.I constantly hear my own friends make raciest comments with intent to hurt others or to fit in with these types.Funny after thousands of years we still can't get past the different colors of our skin.Did M.L.K. have a dream that would never come true?
it's a very pretty song with nice pictures. I think recognize anyone on these pictures, could you give me the source of the picture at time 3'10 please?
people are the same wherever you go.............they have the same emotions.......they feel the same loss.............and they feel the same about their own place.............it is politicians who exploit these human emotions with the same end result........war and it's awful consequences...................
I first heard this song from the Clancy brothers record in Ireland in 1963 when I was a child. It was used as an explanation to the 25 family members who died on the Western Front in WW1. A war that wiped out an Irish Jewish tradition that had survived 400 years. It is only now 100 years later that a few have rediscovered the family history. I wish Israel well.
@brian6078 Haha nice. I dont know how I decided on playing the mandolin. I live in Rhode Island, northern usa. Everyone up here calls it my little guitar lol.
He was a soldier in Korea. To see him now, and then to think of him a young man in Korea leaves me without words.
When my fathers circle ends, and I take his place I only hope I can give to my children what he has given to me,so when my circle ends, they will do the same.
@gregoryfwood My Uncle Charlie Mullan played the Banjo Mandolin,he had it since he was a young boy in Ulster Ireland, brought it to Canada with him.My Mom and Dad went out and bought him a new Banjo. He played it for a couple of minutes and put it aside and picked up his old Mandolin.LOL-they just don't compare.

Very powerful pictures, showing there's no glory in war. all war has to offer is pain and sadness and death.
Thanks for this truly impressive video.
