I heard the song on Letterman and I loved it, but I heard him sing it Live in Chicago on Sunday and I was over the moon. I was dancing around like a 16 year old too. I can't say enough about his performance. He and his band mates put their hearts and souls into it. BEST CONCERT EVER!
One thing I hate is most people don't know this song. You can see it on videos from his concerts where he performs it and people stands with no reaction. I saw Paul McCartney last year (May 27th) here in Mexico and the same thing happened: I was the only one in my area who was singing it and dancing to it. And I agree, the song is good but performed live it simply rocks!
I saw him perform this song this year, 2010 in Glendale, (front row), the Hollywood Bowl a few weeks later from the front row of the terrace, then RIO Tinto, Salt Lake City this summer and heard this song in rehearsal, then from front row during the concert. It's a good song, but it is a GREAT song live and I believe one of his best. Though simple, it actually has a lot going on and set to visuals with an incredible sound system, I admit it had this old man jumping around like a 16 year old.
I get it...this was the week the "AMS" guy came and lost his ticket back home...So they made good use of it in the mean time. Just kidding...I love it...it's just??? VERY different ... Perhaps this is Paul at some experimental stage...Like a modern version of Revolution # 12...9 ???
Lovely - very George song - makes me miss George even more than usual. Would love to hear them sing this together. I was just having lunch with my parents and Roy Orbison singing on a Wilbury's track came on and I thought - George wrote such soaring and penetrating songs ... his spirit is in this one and not just because of the instrumentation.

@caulinrocker You're wrong - Go away and do some proper research on this... alright. The man today claiming to be Paul McCartney is a double, you can think and hypothesise all you want on it after that.

I love this song when Paul plays it with his band live but I don't like so much here. It's much better live. I have 2009 DVD of his NY concert in City Field and it's a great concert and I love this song there played live.

@johnsipodtouchhelp It's sure you hate Paul McCartney because such a stupid comment. Why don't you say "make sur Phil Collins hasn't already used the melody you came up with" for example. Beautifully said mate. This song is simply magnificent. Paul McCartney is without question the single greatest musician to have ever walked God's green earth. Period!
U2 have been around over 30 years that 3 times as long as the Beatles...they have also done something no other band including the Beatles has ever done
managed to remain intact ......30+ years same 4 guys who started the band are still in the band ...no lineup changes,no breakups...no one has left the band,no one else has joined.
That in itself is an amazing, remarkable accomplishment
I agree, U2 is an awesome band, but the Beatles are. Just because they (Beatles) weren't together for 30 years, they accomplished a lot that U2 hasn't. Example: The Beatles NEVER had a bad album. U2 has. You can't argue that; the Beatles were fantastic- each and every album. 27 #1 Singles, Hugely influential albums, they were the founders of contemporary pop/rock and roll. And in a way they invented MTV, being one of the first groups to ever have a music video.
theBeatles were only around for 10 years if they were around for 30+ years they would have made a few albums that the critics and the public would have panned it could be argued that U2 didnt make a bad album in their first 10 years of existence too...but it is inevitable the longer you stick aorund (U2) the more people resent you. As far as #1singles go it was a different time back in the 60's by the time 80's,90's and this decade look at all the rap, pop, metal etc. U2 had to compete with
That doesn't make them the best band of all time you fucking bellend, If anything that makes the beatles better , because U2 have had 30 years to write better songs than the beatles an thy have yet to succeed , so stop talkin bollocks
I never said they were the best band of all time, you dumb shitdick.... what I said is I can count on one hand the # of bands who have been around for 30+ years with no personnel changes ever...here it is ...one band.... U2 and if that isnt hard to accomplish why has no other band done it??

Ok, in actual fact my house is haunted, so this conversation was interesting. There is a old lady in my house. She`s nice, and we get along. But at first i hated her. It took me years to accept her presence.
She caused trouble cause she was pissed off at me. She thought i didn`t clean the kitchen and she hated my room mate. But it`s alright now. She`s very quiet.
I'm not sure about this. I'm a huge Macca fan. He's my idle. I do have to say though, if he says that it may ruin his carrear, maybe it's not worth getting. I wouldn't really feel this way, except his last album was somewhat of a let down. It wasn't all bad though. There were a few good songs on it.
He never said the album might ruin his career. I read the entire article. He was joking. He was saying I was asked to ad lib.. oh what is the point talking to you pinheads. Paul never gave a shit. He releases what he wants and hopes for the best. He always said "I am happy o be able to do any of it." Some of you people don't deserve to hear Paul at all. Ed
Yes, I realize he was joking. That should be farely obvious. What I meant to say was that his last few albums havn't been his best. I do admit, they're still way better than any other music comming out today. There were even some songs off his last two albums that I really enjoyed. To expect anything remotely good from Paul is nothing but greedy. He's given us so much since The Beatles.
And by the way, I have to listen to his music. I couldn't live without it.
This is my favorite of the three songs so far! GREAT SONG!!! I know the other two were officially put out there, but how about this one?!?
Do you have a promo copy of the whole album already? If so will you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE post more tracks ASAP!! I am going to buy it as soon as it's released anyway. Thanks & Blessings!!
I love how Paul is so full of surprises...always moving on...always growing! <3

She caused trouble cause she was pissed off at me. She thought i didn`t clean the kitchen and she hated my room mate. But it`s alright now. She`s very quiet.

I haven't heard this yet. It's very different for Paul. Gotta get used to the melody. He's a cutie still.

I'm not sure about this. I'm a huge Macca fan. He's my idle. I do have to say though, if he says that it may ruin his carrear, maybe it's not worth getting. I wouldn't really feel this way, except his last album was somewhat of a let down. It wasn't all bad though. There were a few good songs on it.
grim107 3 years ago
He never said the album might ruin his career. I read the entire article. He was joking. He was saying I was asked to ad lib.. oh what is the point talking to you pinheads. Paul never gave a shit. He releases what he wants and hopes for the best. He always said "I am happy o be able to do any of it." Some of you people don't deserve to hear Paul at all. Ed
BonelessSausage 3 years ago
Yes, I realize he was joking. That should be farely obvious. What I meant to say was that his last few albums havn't been his best. I do admit, they're still way better than any other music comming out today. There were even some songs off his last two albums that I really enjoyed. To expect anything remotely good from Paul is nothing but greedy. He's given us so much since The Beatles.
And by the way, I have to listen to his music. I couldn't live without it.
