pre is really nice it can do so much at once but does slow down after like 10 things going at once, where the iphone will never slow down. pre has the fancy gestures and the little icons at the bottom. it may be little features but the make the experience of the phone more enjoyable :)

Had an iPhone 3G for 7 months. Rock solid phone, AT&T sucks. I have the Pixi now. It's simple, easy to use, does everything I need it to and the OS in Pixi feels right. I'd give it my vote, or to the Pre if you want a little more hardware.

i have the palm pre and have used the pixi and the droid. I just hate the droid keyboard. The pixi keyboard is not great, but i like it more than the droid. I would recommend the palm pre, but between the droid and the pixi, I would definitely say the pixi. I think it is more stylish too. Hope i could help.

I really liked the review. The only critique was regarding your comments about the absence of email signature on the Droid. I just can't see how that would be a deal breaker for anyone. Additionally, you almost complained about how it is like they are forcing one to use gMail. For us iPhone users, the app store lockdown is MUCH worse (and why so many people unlock).

SPB Mobile Shell 3 on Windows Mobile is a total "game changer" and VERY UNDERRATED.

Just so you guys with WinMo phones know, it's even better than TouchFlo 3D. More customization and you can pull contacts from Facebook and there are widgets for twitter and facebook for your home screen. Also, you have the option to change the number of custom home screens from 2 to 10! There's super smooth kinetic scrolling and 3d and alpha blending effects too. It looks really nice and fucntions perfectly.

I used to have the Pre and I returned it because I hated the way it was built akward....just like you said pretty much....but I did like the WebOS....anyways i see this Pixi out now and I think to myself "thats the way they should have built the pre in the first place"...2 questions 4 you...as far as camera comparison between the pre and the pixi...if the pre's camera is a 10/10 (not saying its that great) then what would be the pixis camera out of 10? and how much slower does the pixi run?

The Pixi does not run that much slower then the Pre unless you are heavily multitasking. It does lag a bit when you initially open up programs/apps.

As far as the camera is compared. I would say that it the Pre camera is a 10 then the Pixi is an 8. I do like how it takes the picture very quickly - almost the very second you select the photo button. The IPhone and the Droid lag is this respect.

The pre is touchable right now... I agree with you there... SOme bugs, Low quality apps right now due to sdk... On the positive note it has alot of potential which may help it surpass the Iphone... As stated the GPU is not used and flash 10 will be integrated pretty soon... palm has also put in place some things for video.. And the UI is way better then the Iphone. So beware the pre is no slacker...
