  • i just downloaded it and started playing i love it i miss the old game so its fun playing new levels

  • I want this level!!! :(:(;(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

  • great your doing great, progress realy fast huh?

  • :yumadthough:

  • weird, somehow i was expecting to read Majora in the title XD

  • please include this level! it reminds me of a level from bomberman 64. plz include it

  • eu queria baixar isto no meu pc,tem como?eu procuro, procuro mas ñ acho!

  • this is a great game! if me and my friends finish our hack

Super Mario 64: Return to Rogueport

    (rogueport from paper mario 2)

    would you try it?

  • @supermario6ification Of course :). I just wish people would stop watching this video and start looking at my newer ones. I mean, seriously, this was my first and crummiest level and my newer ones are 30x better.

  • @Skelux This is your crummiest?! It still looks exceptionally good, considering the levels I'm making.

  • @supermario6ification ok thats great to hear! i saw your melting snow peaks level and its pretty cool and did u import this with fraubers level importer? because i can't set behaviors of objects in my levels, i was making it so koops is mayor of petalburg and has 2 kids but idk how to set the behavior and in original levels like castle grounds, i can't find the set behavior button and btw the objects are 0x24 3D objects

  • @supermario6ification Try holding alt and clicking the behavior box

  • @Skelux but i cant see the behavior box in TT64 in any of the levels

  • How do you place all the objects in the levels?

When I import the .obj file to sm64 everything is alright, even I can change where mario is going to appear but...

When I switch "empty objects" to things such as enemies, items and trees they don't appear...

  • @lordcristale you need to enable their appearance for all 6 stars. there is a little ox to do that near the bottom left.

  • please make a guide on patching, extending, and importing PLEASE!

  • nice hack

  • Star Road? from Super Mario World?

    or a another game?

  • @JoshuaJulian2003 correct, someone finally worked it out

  • kk den sorry

  • well u kho...there the problem...im usin "Super Mario 64 (U) [!]". and latest rom extendor and it says unable to extend rom...blah blah blah...then it says i need "Super Mario 64 (U) [!]".but wtf? im using that one?

  • @rockbandmaster456 I'm going to delete all your other comments, this is the only one that is at all reasonable.

Try redownloading your rom from doperoms. Make sure you get Super Mario 64 (U) [!].zip. Unzip it, and make sure it is 8mb by right clicking on it and selecting properties. After this, is will hopefully work.

  • Reminds me of Galaxy.

  • and beside none of the versions of toads tool work nor the extenders or versions of the rom dont matter none of them work

  • hey howed you make that stage?

  • @marcoccia100 Blender. I use google sketchup now, though.

  • @superskarmory would hate this to pieces

  • okk its not hacking if u use toads tool! if u want to hack it ur not suppoesed to use no tools:all tools u could use to actully hack it is cmd, taskmngr, and paint that is wat i used and will always use i will never use toads tool

  • @rockbandmaster456 Then i'm afraid every SM64 hack you ever make will be crap :P.

  • i've got a question how come ppl can hak brawl and this so much y isn't any1 trying 2 hak galaxy!

  • @joeandson 7h3Y 4r3, 17 jU57 h42'n7 C0m3 V3ry pH4r y37.

  • @joeandson Yeah, I wonder too, but please, put some Grammar and spelling so people can understand.

  • I've been wondering, how do you get your ideas? It's hard for people(like me)to think of enough ideas for something like this.

If your wondering how I get mine, eithere an idea pops into my head whn I see something on TV or in real life, like a wishing well surounded by a circle of stop sighns. Or, I look at a level in some of my favorite games, and then I get an idea.

Still, it really is hard to get insperation...

  • @rometwins96 First, i get a basic idea like snow, forest, island, castle etc. Then i do a heap of research of how people made these levels in other games and what they look like in real life. I then mix and match ideas together and make a landscape for the level. After that, i put all the interesting objects in that relate to the stars.

I didn't do any of that with this level though.I've been doing it for all my newer levels. By the way, i found out how to make cool landscape in GS ;).

  • @Skelux

    ...could you teach me? ;)

I cant make good hills and stuff, if you noticed, most of my levels are kind of flat :P

  • @rometwins96 Basically:

    1. Click view->toolbars->sandbox

    2. Click form scratch in that toolbar and make a 12x12 grid

    3. Pull up any squares you like

    4. Select everything then click form contours

    5. Delete everything but the new terrain

Once you understand how that works, you can do various things to make smoother looking terrains and whatnot.

  • @Skelux

    Thanks! :)

  • @Skelux

    Thanks! That's MUCH MUCH Better!

    You 'da best LOL XD

  • Looks good can I get a BETA if I help? Or do you not want help?

  • @ItsaMeMartin Patience :). I'm going to make a full 120 stars for this hack

  • @ItsaMeMartin All 7 :)

  • this nice

  • Is there a power star hack?

  • @CPbetterthanRS What do you mean?

  • You applied so much effort to this.

    It looks awesome! [=

  • Seems like a mix between rainbow ride and whomps fortress

  • nice

  • When I first saw this I was like "Holy sh*t!" xD

  • Looks nice, but the layout needs improving.

  • cool

  • This level reminds me of parts of the level with the Pintas or w/e (and that flame chomp) in Sunshine and the bee levels in Galaxy (I think both of those levels have lots of thing platforms to run around on). And that awesome feel Mario games have when Nintendo focuses on making a fun game and not just making money.

  • Any updates on this project? By the way, I just released v12 of the importer with (limited) water support).

  • @frauber Wonderful! i'll apply it to the hub and post another preview.

  • Comment removed

  • Super cool! It makes me think about something that could be used for the hub of a SM64 mod. Like... have doors on the platforms that are everywhere and put some sort of barriers on them until you get a certain amount of stars. The tower in the background could belong to Bowser or the antagonist of sorts and etc. etc. I dunno. :P I just had to give my two cents about how it seems usable in a full SM64 mod.

    Nice video. B-)

  • I would put some new textures in, maybe add a Luigi version and Mario version. Also, you could probably create some new skyboxes, and experiment with some code patching.

  • I think you should make it 32 main levels instead of 6, that would make the game epic. I would't mind waiting 10 times as long, as long as the game is long and beautyfully decorated. I suggest you use some textures that make it look more modern, somewhat like Super Mario Galaxy 2

  • @SamuelJoaodaSuica Don't worry, the plan has changed GREATLY since what i orginally planned. I am spending at least 3 hours per level now, with no blocky junk like this one. There will be many more levels then 6, as well as 4 main hub areas.

  • That's good, and based on your other videos, you seem to have a preety good idea of good textures already... keep us updated friend!

  • THis reminds me a bit of Super Mario Galaxy =P

  • Roman Gallo

  • That looks awesome! Can someone make a Delfino Plaza using toads tool in mario 64?

  • Will stuff like this be able to be done in the next version of TT64? Because the obj. importer does not work on a mac... :(

  • sounds cool

  • wow, your awsome

  • Can You Put This Awesome Hack On Downloa Plz!

  • Great to finally see something with effort put into it!

This level gives me a hint that you'll be making an overall good hack. Definitely something I would give a try.

  • f*@k, i want it so much, but i can't get it running. ;_;

  • If this was my hack, I would make this the hub world (And maybe expand on it a little, add a few islands, make a bunch of hidden alcoves and whatnot). But that's just me.

Congrats on making the first [good] level with Frauber's importer!

  • Any idea for story line?

  • Nice import Skelux :)

  • if this was really in a mario game, this would be the best int he series!!!!!!!!!

  • Really nice, coming from you I'm expecting some very nice level design ideas :). By the way, any idea what triggered the problem with the act selector? Did you do any modification in the ROM?

Also, the lack of custom textures is because of a importer problem? I have solved recently a great deal of texture path problems, so hopefully next version should really deal with all the problems.

    Looking forward to see more!

  • @frauber The custom textures are working fine, i just thought it might feel more like mario 64 if i use the original textures. However, if i find somthing good enough, i will replace them :).

  • @frauber As for the act selector problem, i have absolutly no idea. One day, it just turned like that and now whenever i open an sm64 rom it's like that.

  • @frauber hmm, how odd. I opened the original Super Mario 64 (U) rom, and the black screen was gone. Then i extended it, and the black screen was back again. I'm stumped.

  • What emulator/video plug-in are you using?

I have a idea about what may be causing the bug, but I need to confirm it.

  • Project64 1.6 and Jabo's3d 1.6.

Perhaps i should update to 1.6.1 and reset all the options to how they were originally. I think i may have messed with the video options at some point and never changed them back.

  • @Skelux Hi, I have Toad's Tool for texture editing mostly but I can move objects well. My question is, how do you make yoru own course with it? Or do you use another program? Please help, thanks.

  • You need Frauber's OBJ Importer. Look it up in YouTube and also download Blender to design your levels in.

  • Comment removed

  • You should use custom textures, it would be much cooler, imo, but i am saying this is uber win, keep it up!

I just hope on Starxxon's importer, though :(

  • thats pretty neat dude
