Warehouse 13 is like a knock - off of the X - Files combined with TNT's movie series " The Librarian* " ( * Actually very well - done w / Noah Wylie & Bob Newhart ), & a more laid - back version of " Friday the 13th - the Series ". IMO, of course.
Some of it seems to be cursed or haunted while other things are steam punk or advanced technology. Some are just relics of weird events. In one behind the scenes thing they showed Rose Mary's baby carriage.
I'll bet they raided a Hollywood prop store somewhere. Maybe they have part of the car from Stephen King's " Christine ", or the cockpit from " The Langoliers " ( The head of the original Gort from " The Day The Earth Stood Still " ? ). That'd be way cool.
Actually the producer said 'this carriage had the spawn of The Devil in it.' He was talking about it as if Rose Mary was a real person. He was not talking about the movie prop being taken by the warehouse. Look, they have a wallet with 'Charonic (ferry man of the dead) abilities to summon ghosts, a dear skin cloak that lets you pass through walls, a kettle that grants wishes.
I wish Eureka fans would get it that this is NOT Eureka, it's not all technology. There's some weird crap in that warehouse including Dorian Gray's portrait, and NOT the one from the film. It's not all technology, some of it's paranormal. The very pilot had a comb that retained the personality of it's original owner because it was designed by an alchemist. The only people who don't associate alchemy as a form of magick are those who take Full metal alchemist too seriously.
@hitmansnightmare - There's almost no limit to the things from myth, legend & religious lore that the Warehouse could hold, the Ark of the Covenant is the least of it. It reminds me of the " Librarian " TV movies on TNT w / Noah Wylie & Bob Newhart & also " Friday the 13th : The Series " which still shows on the Sci - Fi / SyFy Channel occasionally. If Aaron Ashmore replaces Joanne Kelly permanently, I'll be VERY disappointed
@knoxvilleguy2 Almost no limits, yes. However, in one episode we were told by Artie that many things surrounding King Arthur were just fairytales and stories. I think we can trust Artie on that one.
@hitmansnightmare - Just like many of the things from Greek mythology like Neptune's ( ? ) Trident that H.G. Wells used to cause tectonic activity to increase at Yellowstone Park, home of the world's largest dormant super - volcano.
@hitmansnightmare - I have no idea. Those little details get lost in my memory after awhile. This show, & a handful of others like it ( Sanctuary, Haven, Eureka, reruns of Stargate SG1 & Stargate Atlantis ) are the only reasons that I watch SyFy, since the name change & addition of reality shows & wrestling.

More laid back? Friday the 13th the series was very campy. This is very similar to it but I do like this show anyway.

Actually, it resembles "The Libarian " like I said, more than " Friday the 13th, the Series ". Or Fox's " FRINGE ", maybe.
knoxvilleguy2 2 years ago
But the only difference between this and Friday the 13th is it's a wareouse insetad of an antique shoppe.
TheBratKingJareth 2 years ago
that, & most of the stuff comes to them, like Queen Victoria's croquet mallet, & it's not " cursed " as such.

I've seen the ep with the cloak. & Dorian Gray's portrait, I think.
knoxvilleguy2 2 years ago
I don't think they've shown Dorian's portrait yet. I've seen the one of the woman's portrait (Dorian's male). But I know it's supposed to be there.

I've seen one with it, that's all I know. I have a non - stick " teflon " memory at times.

WOW !!! the whole 9 yards. If they go for the Ark of Covenant or the Holy Grail or the Spear of Destiny, I want to find out. ( Shankara stones ? )
knoxvilleguy2 2 years ago
@knoxvilleguy2 Well, in one episode Artie mentions that the Holy Grail doesn't exist (at least that's what I got out of it).
But yeah, the ark would be nice.

@knoxvilleguy2 However, did Artie say that it (the trident) didn't exist?
(O am now at episode 6, so I don't know everything yet.
