@Invertedzero Its most likely because people have become to used to being able to explore an open world, and they set their expectations too high for the next released FF title (basically they constantly expect the new games to be better than the ones that came out before, since the previous ones are viewed by many as epic), and to be honest its kinda unrealistic to keep expecting new releases to be better than their predecessors, so people are just setting themselves up for disappointment.
