i cant see a 185rwkw car beating a 257rwkw v8... my car had 220rwkw n it ran a 13.3sec a stock xr6 turbo cant do thoses times.. the guy who tuned the v8 must not be that good the power must come at top end... it comes down to the tuneing u need a good tuner to get the most out of the car... im a V8 fan but if i was eva to get a turbo xr6 turbo is the way to go great cars they a..
these XR6T's seem pretty easy to make 300rwkw's... but i wonder exactly how fast these at 300rwkw's actually are? have you owned any V8's with around 300rwkw's? i'd be interested in what you think between the two.
i'm talking rwkw. a 290BOSS is far from 300rwkw's. more like 220rwkw's if that, unless of course it's been modded quite a lot. i use to own an LS1 SS with a few rwkw shy of 300. i raped all the factory FPV, HSV, including XR6T's etc.. can't say i ever ran a 300rwkw XR6T though, which is why i'm wondering exactly how quick a 300rwkw XR6T is in comparison... Ford's i6 has always been a top engine tho, so i guess it's not too surprising the amount of potential they have..
@yNeville 300rwkw xr6t auto will kill a 300rwkw ss manual. day i got mine i raced a 257rwkw ss ls1, mine only had 185rwkw i had it dynod before i had it tuned, also i raced him with a stock standard car, still even stock air cleaner, and i beat him standing start on first race by 3 car lengths to 180kph, i got such a good launch was about 3 car lengths away from him before he got out of first gear, rolling start he beat me but, but shows how good a 4spd auto is for speed. :) Not bad for a stocky
@yNeville well my bf xr6turbo in stock tune has 204rwkw and it will walk my mates tuned vy 285kw clubby. his made 212rwkw. im have 6sp auto and my gears are longer than his.. it seems that i made alot more power/torque from midrange whereas he only makes it up top. i dial in 10psi tune tho for 260rwkw and yeah he is many many carlengths behind.. still i love driving his car, its nice. but from what i saw at power cruise. 290rwkw 6sp auto xr6t will hold onto a stock lamborghini gallardo :D
in that case, a 300rwkw XR6T is pretty fuckin' quick then... i'm seriously gonna start looking for one, thinking a '06 BF. i hear these came with the same engine as the FPV F6 series... better conrods, pistons, & valve springs etc..
i've always preferred manual over auto, but everyone raves about how good the ZF 6spd is. best i test drive one i guess
well in my opinion if u wanna have fun get a manual if u want top times on the track on a stock transmition get the 6spd auto. autos as u know are the best for draging.
Is that running a different computer setup and such?
I've got an FG G6E Turbo that I've started to mod (better suspension, bigger brakes, new exhaust) but I want to get more Kw's from it. I'd love to get a manual in there too :)

xr6turbo with 300rwkw is on a completely different level to a v8 with the same power, xr6s make so much more torque down low.

Sure is auto. Box is completely standard, no stall, just a tranny cooler and lifted line pressures. I ran with Mickey Thompson ET's.
