Making them work for they're food is not natural to them because they were never exposed to that/ They were (usually) born to a breeder and were taken care of. It isn't natural to make them work for it if they were never exposed to that. They're ancestors have nothing to do with what that one individual dog has naturally.
@love2liveit There is a difference between unnaturally waiting (like up to ten minutes. Seriously?) and making them wait for a little bit to teach them impulse control. With my dog, we make her sit and wait while we prepare her food because she jumps like crazy, and then we have her sit and wait once we place her food on the floor. It teaches her respect for us, impulse control, and that she has to listen. But what may be good for one dog may not be best for every dog.
@LaurenKayleighOnline And thats why me and this dude at expertvillage have well rounded dogs and not out of control I can promise you my dog and his dogs and all other dogs are perfectly happy and just because your un-educated about animals and proper training doesn't mean we need to hear your bullshit :)
what if my dog takes a mouth full of food and walks with it, then goes back for the next mouth full and so forth till all the foods done in the bowl...but theres food all over the place from her walking.
HOLY MUFFLED MICROPHONE BATMAN! Expert village needs to take off the mandatory CC and learn how to shoot a video better if your going to call yourselves "Experts".
@MinaruOnizuka Try checking out Tab289's videos...if he doesn't have anything specific on this topic you can ask him....I've not found expertvillage's videos terribly helpful...there are lots better. I think training for this would need to be done in small increments to you could "shape" the behavior.
When they attack, trying turning your back on them and withdrawing all attention what-so-ever.
I had a pit bull mix that liked to jump when you bent over to pet him. He would snap, and although he was not snapping to hurt, he could still do so. I tried everything, or so I though until I took a behavior modification class. I raising my hands in the air and turning my back on him when he jumped. Within a week he quit.

this must be a joke!!!!! you're telling us how to feed your dogs and you're dogs are so not listening to you!!! they did not even budge when you taped the food bowl. Thanks but no thanks for your advice!
Could you show a video of dogs when they are hungry. Its easy to say rather than to do, try to give us the example, making them wait for at least 30 seconds.
the fact that they grow up in a house doesnt mean they dont have the instincts. then they wouldnt pee on the walls where you dont want them too, or scratch the dirt in the yard if you dont teach them not to.
they do it this way for marketing reasons. most of them should be put together to make a full 10 minute presentation, but they do not so that they can advertise that they have the most training videos on the internet.
i think that leaving food out, of coarse not too much, and having 2 dogs does complicate it, that constantly left out food takes away the natural instinct to find food while the instinct can be rerouted towards playing and being a watchdog. also naturally, dogs will eat all they can, depending on breed they can be taught to limit their appetite as long as ur firm about begging. u need to reassure the dog that the chance they will get a treat for no reason, may or may not happen.good with company
Why the hell is it so windy in your house?

Absolutely right. You are showing actually making sure the dog knows who the alpha is in the pack.

They're not hungry at the moment. I think they don't even like the dog food... I think you might need to find more inviting food for your dogs..

Yet another "dog training" video where the dogs are already trained, and there's no real explanation on how they became so.

First u dont feed dogs dry food. cause dry food has been cooked and takes away all the enzymes and nutrions that dog needs

#1 they are not in the wild..
#2 what a natural way is what they are grown up in....looks like a house with food, so i dont think they need to hunt for it.
