Nothing to take away from your words, but I'd just like to say to a few of your watchers, I'd suggest throwing a dictionary in the mix to step y'all'z game up. The set up is all phonetical in aspect, the sad thing is, few tend to really look at the words. If god is word and vv then that would mean that a lexicon is not a bad place to expunge on more GOD, if you catch what I'm saying. I'd also add in that ambidexterity might get you some more inner bliss as well add with the praying. Use/lose it.
No One Is Righteous 9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews& Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written:“There is no one righteous, not even one;11 there is no one who understands;there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless;there is no one who does good, not even one.”We all have a testimony, dont have to compete, Jesus's gave us a new way to live
God can use someone's testimony to reach anyone who might be going through something similar, or who might just need to be reminded of his faithfulness and his diety. Our ministry is a website just FULL of testimonies. It's based off of Acts 1:8. check out our site, and add your testimony. You just never know who in the world will be blessed by it. Our website is in my youtube user name.
an awesome testimony is just the fact that you turned your life over to Christ, that is the most powerful testimony! it doesn't matter how you lived life in the past it's how you can put your all into serving Christ now! People's judgements mean nothing
i believe anyone's testimony could benefit a saved person or an unsaved person. are these people who leave the church and go about worldly sinful lifestyles really christians? it is not for us to decide but I couldn't help but think that....I don't want to pride myself when I testify
You don't have to have some amazing delivered from the fire story to say that Jesus has changed your life. I grew up in a Christian home...but at some point I had to get to know Christ for myself and not just go on what my parents said. Just learning to know him (and trust me I'm still just learning) has been incredible in itself
We need to have a vision for multi-generational faithfulness. By over-emphasizing dramatic conversion experiences, we unconsciously tell our children that their steady, lifelong trust is not enough.
To be sure, dramatic conversions are real and the sharing of them can be done either in pride or with a motivation to illustrate the transforming power of the Gospel. However, I would rather hear about the person who never remembers NOT loving and trusting in Christ -- someone who has always trusted Christ because their parents raised them in a covenant home to love and serve Him. Now that is a testimony!
I don't think I understand the social dynamic you've grown up in - but I'm guessing in any case that you are prolly right. Sometimes when people presented testamonies it could be prideful boasting. If it was - then hopefully if his audience believed in God they would realize it wasn't that person's power but God's power that "saved" them - whatever pride they were toating around was misguided and fake.
I mean, yeah sure - good for them for choosing to be saved - but who did he real saving here?
I get the feeling you are concerned that if people are going around pridefully boasting bold tales of fights in the lions den - how it might inspire others to try and jump in too (so the delemna... to tell or not to tell) Risk inspiring others to "out-do" the bold tales of misplaced heroicism, or remain silent to the miracles God has granted them...
I want to say - if someone is foolish enough to think that it was these false heros powers that allowed them to be saved, at not that of God - they have already fallen astray. They need to SEEK HELP.
*Warning* I am not an Xtian - so all opinions I have on this matter are completely refutable and more than likely worthless. Not valid in all states - see local stores for details!
New hair - new glasses? I think its always good to share your testimony if it is given with the right heart. Some use their testimonies as a foothold for bragging, other to keep themselves humble, others to help people relate and know they aren't alone. The point is - motive seems to be everything
