I'm really loving this gun. It must be a sweet-heart to clean because of the design. And an OCD germafobe like me will definately appreciate its ability to take a thorough cleaning. I have one concern, how is the recoil?
Me too! Loving this gun that is! You really hit on something about cleaning. It's hard to realize how easy and thoroughly you can clean the P250 until you've pulled the FCU out.
Well, the gun in the video is a .45 and a relatively light one at that, but recoil isn't all that bad. If you're used to 9mm, you will notice a difference. But it's not bad! The M&P .45 is brutal, the P250 isn't.
You know, it's funny, some think the P250 trigger is awful, some love it. I obviously love it. I have no explanation really why it works so well for me, but I'm not alone; a lot of people get the same results.
I really think if one sticks with a DA trigger a while, ALL his shooting will improve. You learn more about trigger control. In fact, I just read that very thing in an article about shooting DA revolvers.
@Tanglerwr Point taken. I read that there is a reasonable amount of distance less to pull compared to other DA triggers, and has a smooth pull all the way through. Still, I'd like it for it to be a DA to SA trigger like the ones in the 220 series.
@Physhi I have my P250 Full size 9MM ordered and I thought the same thing about the DA/SA opposed to DAO but honestly I think it is just an aquired taste. Just as the SAO on the 1911 series has it's cons I imagine the DAO does but I honestly don't see them, especially with as smooth and consistent as the DAO is on the P250's... I think with practice it might prove faster and more efficient in stressful situations. After all many many PD's went to DAO revolvers with bobbed hammers...
Thanks for the video, I found the link on the SigForum. I'm a brand new P250C owner and took it to the range for the first time today and I shot a very tight grouping and 21' - don't think I could hit a shotgun shell at 50' though!
Real nice shooting, I have the P250 compact in .45. I like it very much, I have a 1911 and that's my normal carry weapon but since I purchased the P250 I have gotten real familiar with the trigger and have no complains what soever. Yes it takes a little getting used to but with a few snap cap hours worth of trigger pull practice I have got to say i like the it. Now its on my ccw. great video
I haven't seen any of the holsters by El Paso Saddlery, I will check them out. It took me a while to find a good iwb holster and I finally came across the Crossbreed Supertuck. I ordered a few weeks ago cant wait to get it and give it a try. Once again good shooting
I ordered the Snap Off Elite (OWB) . I'm really eager to see and try this holster. I have found the the easy on-easy off of snap ons to be very convenient at times and the Snap Off Elite has the cant I wanted.
I ordered it in the russet color but I'm thinking I'll change it to black if they haven't started work on it yet and there's not some kind of prohibitive charge for change.
It's a Petzl Vertex helmet to mount the helmet cam. I've tried to think of some other ways to mount the cam, but none is so easy, repeatable, secure, and stable as a helmet.
That's the helmet I use when I climb trees so I already had it with the cam already mounted.
That is some pretty impressive shooting. I have a p250 in 45 ACP. It is a wonderful firearm. I understand your comment regarding the DAO trigger. It would usually take someone a bit of practice to get used to it from a DA/SA or SA. I tip my hat to your mastery of the weapon - I wish I could shoot half as well as you do.
I sometimes wonder if everyone started out with a DAO if they'd still think it's harder to shoot.
I suspect if I had to make a surgical shot, I might want to shoot from SA, but I have shot my nice 1911 side by side my DAO guns and I can't say that I shoot it one bit better.
You keep working with that P250, you see what it can do. Focus on the front sight and just keep pulling the trigger. DO NOT get the sight picture you want and try to pull the trigger at that instant.
Awesome shooting....makes me wanna go out and get a P250

LOL! Hey, image is everything - what can I say?
You know, of course, the helmet is to hold the helmet cam?

Damn accurate, but that DAO trigger would get me. Though I suppose if I hit the intended target, it wouldn't matter with that 45acp module.

You are exactly right. Any trigger takes some adjustment if one is coming from another platform, the P250 is no different - it takes a little time.
I did the video to refute a claim that you couldn't hit anything beyond 7 yds with the P250 because of the DAO trigger.
But I'm like you, I think it's great! I'll be carrying my P250 .45ACP as soon as my El Paso Saddlery holster arrives!
