The Europeans would disagree with you that those trousers are too short. Short trousers and bold socks seem to be all the rage. It looks fairly ridiculous when you sit down though.
@Matt: "so this jacket as a whole is just a little too tight for Matt". First thing I noticed is the big wrinkle in your jacket at the waist. It's way too tight in the waist area, looks goofy. Tip (P.S. for a "regular build"): Close your jacket (e.g. top button for two button suit) and put your hand (90 degrees) between the top button and your belly. Should just fit with the thumb in between, should comfortably fit if you don't use your thumb. If not, try another suit! Just my two cents...

by the way, is it just me or suits are becoming cheaper looking over time? and im nor talking about this guys but in general.its like the fabrics are getting thiner or somethig of the sort.
@Estebanfuturo hahahaha totally agree with you. I think it's just this whole skinny lapel and extremely snug jackets and pants thing that is making suits look so cheap. Almost as if the manufacturer is cutting costs by using less fabric, making pants skinnier and lapels slimmer. I hope that "fashion" trend dies out very soon.
Bryce's shirt was COMPLETELY ill-fitting-- no, the shirt did not fit in the neck. (When the model turned, you could see there was too much room.) And when it fits that poorly you need to buy another shirt in a different size, NOT take it to a tailor.
My point is: Buy something that fits initially without tailoring. Use tailoring as an OPTION. Listen to this guy if you want to spend more for the tailoring than your clothes!
I've got to say, listening to this guy talk is really annoying. Not bad advice he's giving, but they could have picked someone who comes off as a bit less of a prick to do this video.
Is the length of the suit really too long? Other experts have said it should not extend past the hands (which it doesn't), and that you should be able to almost cup the bottom of the suit jacket with your hands with arms fully extended down.
@jeffhanson1 they think that everybody has the same body type but they don't you have to remember the purpose if the jacket length and thats to cover your seat (ass)
just make sure that it goes one and a half to two inches below the curve of your butt.
you loose credibility by trying to hard to establish it. Why would you go to a seamster and not just buy a shirt / jacket that fits? The example of the wearer's getup isn't what a normal person would consider looking at getting because it's way too big. The model isn't a crazy body type either. The pants part was well done.
I love when I see blacks with their collars and you can fit your whole hand in there, he said a finger only!!!!! any bigger looks sloppy!!!!!!!!! Well said....

what's glaring to me is watching this video and Matt, is not even using his own advise for his suit he is just way to tight and looks uncomfortable.

I am in the search of cool jackets. (cool = less warm.) Any concrete tips on manufacturers? :)

Suit jacket is way to tight---I wouldn't trust a guy who is so unaware of how poorly he looks in this suit--egads!!!

Matt's jacket is little too tight in the waist.

The most glaring issue was the tie.
I'd watch your mannerisms, as it got annoying to hear "glaring" over and over.

I love how he is giving the tips, which are great, but his suit is way too tight in the waist, and his tie is very sloppily tied.
