You know, every city in America has parks for walking your dog or taking a jog, but the kids that bike and board are basically forced to seek out places to have fun, and EVERYBODY considers them to be a menace. It's really sad. If every city is going to have a park and golf course, give these a kids a facility full of ramps and rails.
The first time one of the skaters cracks a tooth on that sidewalk their momma is going to sue the roof off of that building. The cop was wrong and the skaters will never understand because they'll never own property they'll be liable for. If we didn't have idiots who sue McDonalds because the coffee was too hot it wouldn't be this way. Poor, misunderstood sidewalk surfers.
I believe what this officer did was awesome. He is building an understanding that cops are people too and I bet that these young guys will have a new found respect for most officers of the law in the future. They were disobeying a sign but then again they are just skateboarding and the officer was leagues above cool with how he handled the situation.
I'm at a loss for words here. It's like speeding on the road and the cop pulling me over and saying...you know you were speeding, the speed limit as stated on that sign back there is 80...
I'd be like, well, I'm slowing down from 110 to 98 as I approach a 60 zone...
He'd be like, OH well then, so long as you're not putting too many lives at danger..you know, maybe just a paraplegic or two...it's all good....as you were, have good day...
if cops act really strict no ones gonna listen but with more cops like this where this just make jokes and dont get all pissy about it then people r probably gonna listen cuz the cop isnt a dick
Obviously you not going to show up at a domestic or a shooting with a non-shallant attitude. As stated above, theres a time and a place for a cop to be a bad ass. MOST situations DONT. That kind of attitude come with EXPERIENCE and WISDOM. 2 things rookies lack.

I believe what this officer did was awesome.
