Peru is a very interesting place. It's got some intriguing ruins no one can explain, such as the megalithic fortress of Sacsahuaman and the huge trident carved into the hillside at the Bay of Pisco.

It depends on what you classify as education. As far as primary and secondary school go, Norway is leaps and bounds ahead of any other country in the world. However university education is best in the USA and UK for top institutions. Although the average American institution isn't very good, I don't know how the average university in the UK is. Canada's average university is pretty darn good.

The thing is... your family came from outside of the United States and found your "American Dream." It depends on what you classify as education. As far as primary and secondary school go, Norway is leaps and bounds ahead of any other country in the world. However university education is best in the USA and UK for top institutions. Although the average American institution isn't very good, I don't know how the average university in the UK is. Canada's average university is pretty darn good.

Dont get me wrong, America is the best. The problem I have is when people think that government needs to "help". American government needs to do something for someone. Thats why we are getting 600 bucks from the government in a so called stimulus package. When people look twoards government and not themselves thats when thing go to poop. The thing is... your family came from outside of the United States and found your "American Dream." WebPundit is complaining about exactly this - that people who are born in America and have always lived here do not have the same intelligence or willpower to succeed. Don't get me wrong, my parents immigrated to the US as well when I was young and our life is fabulous compared to what it could have been. But there's a sad thing here, that there're millions in Peru living in poverty, while Peru is a big country with a lot resources, full of hardworking people like your father.
Why people should go to America to be happy? Why can't people be happy in their own countries? Those are my questions.

I think we are different in many aspects, I have lived away from my country for a long time, but I would never consider hanging a flag behind me to confirm my longing.
