What Happened to all the trillions of Dollars That's been printed since Obama took office?
4-6 trillion I understand & we we total 2 trillion in debt back in the 70's
So our economy was doing great 10 year ago & we should have 5 trillion more to boost it or play with :-/
I know some say the currency has been devalued, But lets face it, we don't have piles of cash in our living rooms so cash is so available it's not worth anything.... No..... thats now it !
@ncwdane I don't know who marked your comment as spam, I did not. If clicked the "not spam" so we will see if it sticks. As for the trillions lost? Aside from the obvious rampant corruption and all that was known to be shipped out to float the central banks of FOREIGN nations, who knows? I don't think any one person really knows. And we had billions literally just disappear off of a cargo plane in Iraq. And CIA torture jets smuggling cocaine, AGAIN. Air amerika flew Iraq too.
I love judge napolitano, Because I really feel he gets the fundamental principle of liberty more than anyone in the media. I am surprise you were willing to post him on your channel because he is on fox. Are you feeling well?
You do realize you contradicted yourself with the words "scarcity" and "hoarding" in the same sentence, right? If you want my artisan level skills, its a minimum of 2 ounces of silver per hour. I will not be a slave. I will live off the land first.
The problem that caused Rome to debase its currency, is they did not have enough silver to represent the represent the full value of the trade and commerce within the Empire and outside it.
The gold standard only works when there is enough gold to cover the value of the goods in circulation. It is an arbitrary value anyway.
@dangerouslytalented Not near as much as paper. The scarcity is what makes it valuable. It represents a unit of work, a REAL unit of work. A piece of paper, not backed by real work, is worthless. A 1 dollar bill and 100 dollar bill is worth only as much as you have faith in it. Faith is for suckers. When I was in highschool my labor was worth 2 ounces of silver an hour. I am now expected to do the same for 2 ounces a DAY. I refuse to give my artisan skills for slave wages.
@bamboo4tameshigiri Such a real unit of work can be represented by anything, as long as the scarcity is carefully governed, with paper money it is anticounterfeiting measures.
The price of silver has gone up because of the scarcity of silver and the fact that there is not enough silver around to cover the value of all the goods represented by that silver and the fact that speculators have been hoarding silver.
@dangerouslytalented Don't play me like a fool. I am not one and I know you aren't either. Why can I not print paper money but the "government" can do it 24/7? What makes them so special?
@bamboo4tameshigiri I for believe in the complete legalization of competing alternative currency. let the best currency rise to the top. Now if I can only learn how to use bitcion.
@dangerouslytalented "The price of silver has gone up because of the scarcity of silver" That's either a lie or you are touting the state line for job security. Which one?
@bamboo4tameshigiri The global economy has grown vastly during the 20th century. Our ability to dig up gold and silver have not. All the easiest gold was dug up in the gold rushes of the 19th century. Now they have to dig 4km deep.
The price of gold and silver has gone up because of the scarcity(compared with other goods and resources) and the work needed to get it. Meanwhile commerce has gone through the roof.
@dangerouslytalented I don't give a fuck about your global economy. If you want artisan skills you pay artisan wages. Period. That's 2 ounces of silver, at a minimum.
@bamboo4tameshigiri It takes far more work to get two ounces of silver out of the ground than it did 20 years ago. The value of goods, services and commodities change over time.
@bamboo4tameshigiri ... and you expect the silver miners to be paid the same rate even though the silver is far harder to come by? The cost of production of EVERYTHING changes over time. The cost to produce silver has gone way up. The cost to produce bicycles and electronics has gone way down. To not adjust the price of silver accordingly would be to tell the silver miners that it's not worth digging anymore, because they won't make any money from it.
