i remember a similar challenge as the first part in a different season where they just used one poll and the person stood on that and was ferried across

I think it's Survivor Fans vs Favorites right? James carried Eliza and Parvati across the water platforms using only one pole while the others just provide support for stability.

Possibly the most awesome Survivor challenge ever! I've been trying to find more videos of the challenges from Cook Islands but can't- even on the CBS website. The season hasn't been released on dvd yet, either.
