@strongsock lol i know i counted he walks 25 boards to the left before releasing the ball....if he started 5 boards over he wud be shooting in the next lane.....
Hmm. I bowl a much straighter line with more end over end roll. In the examples shown, I'd do a 1 board move left with my feet and 1 with my target for the high hit. For the light hit I'd move my feet 1 board to the right and keep my target the same. This works for me every time. If I did a four, two movement as suggested, my ball would be out of the pocket by a long way.
There are a few things you can do to increase hook - slow down the ball speed, move right, dull the surface of the ball, or increase revs. One thing that helped me get more revs is to place my fingers further inside the ball - this provides better lift, and a stronger release. Another big key is to avoid putting sideways rotation on the ball - this kills your hook. A good basic release is to finish with your fingers at 5 o clock and thumb at 10, start turning the wrist as it passes your ankle.
Step two: Figure out what the lanes are doing, you may be playing too deep, you might have to play a straighter line to get the ball to make it to the pocket.
Remember, bowling isn't about crossing 30 boards or power, it's about accuracy and being able to repeat shots.
wow talk about major driftage

Hmm.. It's actually better to move your feet left or right, and if that doesn't work, then move your eyes, not both at the same adjustment -.-

Step one: Don't blame the ball.

funny nothing else really but funny none the least, and you can blame the ball one can only get so much arc out of a certain ball.

The main reason they drift is so that they are able to clear their hips so they can let the ball down.

Saw this guy Bowl the World cup (which he won) in mexico.. awesome player!
BTW, when you hook the ball that much you need to learn to drift left to avoid the ball return!! :-)
