hey could u do a video on George Bridgman... i see in most of the sketchbook videos u make your students draw his pictures ... would be a great help to me. thanks
well i bought my first (i'm more of the loose drawings) sketchbook today and i think its gonna get nice when i see this... amazing sketchbooks you guys got there!
I just completed my first sketchbook. I have some tips for people, Go to a museum and draw sculpture it is my new favourite thing to do. The DIA has so many cool tings to draw if your in the detroit area.
my sketchbook is full like that, but lacks the real skill of figure drawing. I havn't had any practice at it, ( My high school doesn't offer any figure drawing classes)...
You should totally do online fan sketchbooks. Like have people submit pages from their sketchbooks, and you put it in a video for inspiration for us. :)
I love sketchbooks im in my 2nd year of college (UK) and going to uni next year to do illustration. Whenever i see other peoples sketchbooks it inspires me to do some of my own
i love drawing by obsveration but i think thats cheating, cuz i have a lot of images on my mind but i dont know how to get them onto the paper, ad everytime i try , the only thing that i get is something deform . what could i do with my problem??
ohh btw could u check my last drawing??
heres the link metroflog(DOT)com/DarkShadows
could u give some advices?? id be very very thankful
please keep posting more videos, they are awesome
Well drwing from life is not cheating you are building up a library of images in ur head, it also helps u with proportion, all tht good stuff. And then your able to apply the poses, to any character you want, it helps you with anatomy, everything you need to be able to draw ur characters or wht u see in ur head is due to observation, it takes practice and time, and to be honest patience. There are some books recommended in the video also
I wash my hands a lot when I go to draw, if I don't graphite and what not get's on my hand and smudges everywhere. Watch where your hand lays on the paper. You can take a piece of scrap paper to "shield" you hand from the paper too. I also think it's a habit of people if they stay clean while they paint or draw. If you're messy with it, I say work with it! Make really cool drawings that are meant to be messy =D
lay down the foundation lightly then erase your construction lines and go over what you want to stay basic for drawing if you mean how to keep your sketchbook clean
try laying down a pieve of paper under your drawing hand so it doesnt smudge your work..they actually sell special gloves that go on your pinky and cover the part of your hand that touches the paper if you have the money..but a piece of paper works just fine =]
Scott has a great video series where he teaches! Called "Drawing 101 learning to see the world anew." look it up, it's awesome.

What do you mean by clean? Clean line work or clean in the literal sense?
Stop rubbing your penciled page?
