this model was built by COLIN STROUSE a experienced areo modler and also a rc display pilot. he built it on a discovery home and leisure program called super models back in 2004/2005. he also did make a scale landrover in a cradle that was released by servo out of the loading doors. colin can be seen and heard at most large model shows

@pelagic6 Yes: It can hold up to 100 lbs... My dad had one of these back when I was a kid. When I was about age 4 or so, for punishment for not doing my chores, my dad would cram me into the payload hatch, lock it, and then send me up for a test flight. I'd be screaming my head off and my dad would say "This is what you get for not taking out the garbage!" I'd be so scared to death that I'd never fail to do my chores again... actually I'm just kidding, funny thing to think of though.

That's cool... the only thing weird about it is the grass runway. I know asphalt RC runways are relatively uncommon - but had the footage been filmed on a paved runway, (and had the C-17 been equipped with landing lights) I think I could have fully suspended disbelief!
