I completed this map with just a green mage, a thief (I wanted that muscle) and a healer.

The only things in the main game that can outright stop that mage now she's become blue are things outright immune to magic (because her physical attacks obviously suck), and the 2 that are supposed to be unwinnable (Etna, Laharl)

I don't think that's what they meant. Don't forget taht in the first game Etna shot 2 of them. I think that yellow actually died as a result of being shot.

(interestingly enough, Etna's gun skill has increased to an A or B for this game, it was a D or E in the first one.)
