@orkacke Yes I tried I had an external microphone from my old Sanyo Xacti HD1010 but it dose not work.
And the sound of the internal mic is OK but not that great.

@orkacke No sorry is not working the connector is just for remote only on G2 is working.

Is there special software to install, or can you just plug it into any PC and use it? Why did you buy the mic? Did you have a special purpose in mind?
I would say that about 100% of non-Torx screws nowadays are Phillips on electronics, so why are you using a slotted screwdriver? BTW, that tape around the mic is a poor design; it will fall off or start coming loose as soon as the adhesive gets old.

Is plug and play on any new desktop OS MAC, Windows and Linux(they do not advertise Linux but it works with ALSA).
I need the microphone for my youtube videos.
You are right about the screws but the one I have with multiple heads was not long enough and slim enough to fit.
Yes I forgot to mention that the tape is a poor design but I think is obvious.
There are not to may USB microphone to chose from and this is the cheapest with acceptable quality.
