tuskegee airmen = heros..barack obama is a stooge just like every other president, i voted for him and just relize that there is no difference anymore between dems and repub's..there all the same
Who watches this shit??? The Olympics are so boring and useless. I would rather watch paint dry than see people fight for a bunch of meaningless medals!
The Tuskegee airmen, by showing what Blacks could do when given the chance, helped make it possible to elect someone like Obama. So their presence at his Inauguration seems especially fitting.
We stopped in front of your quaters at Bolling AFB on the way home with the Tuskegee Airmen of the Claude B. Govan Chapter, NY/NJ/CT. I saw Edna and Weyman but missed you, Spann. You are still going strong at 92, God has blessed you! Thanks for sharing your story and my thanks to the New York Times and Brent McDonald.
handyandy. wow. your comment amazed me. how could you? this is someone's experience in life-a positive one at that, and you have to taint it with your negative mind. grow up. your disrespecting your own mother when you talk like that. lets revert back to childhood shall we?? if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say it at all.
quite an assertion. Got any proof that this is true or that it was a "loan?" or that anyone knew or ...why the hell you are bringing this up? What the hell does this have to do with the story? Oh wait. Do you listen to right wing morons online or in the media? Talking point of some kind?
yeah its 100% true. look it up. i DARE you too google it. some things a conspiracy theory, but this isnt even under the table. its well know. they took a loan by the mexican drug cartel. 100% sad to know who runs our media. REALLY LOOK it UP BECAUSE NYT IS GOING TO DELETE MY COMMENT.
My son and I met Mr. Watson about 5yrs ago at an airshow in Connecticut for the Military families. He is an amazing person with so much elegance and grace. He has a spirit that shines so bright that we didn't need the sun that day. He was wonderful with my son, who left that day with a new found appreciation for 'older' people..."Mom, he was totally cool" Seeing this man's smile and watching his eyes sparkle makes tears come to mine. What a great and well deserved honor for this man.
Nope. Freedom of speech my friend. Oh, I saw your profile..lets see..George Carlin, Blue collar comedy tour, Metallica..wow..can we say REDNECK!! Get an education, then come to me with an intelligent come back.

How can 2 million blacks get into Washington, D.C.
in sub zero temps in 1 day when 200,000 couldn't get out
of New Orleans at 85 degrees with four days notice?

Dear Spann and Edna,
