too inaccurate in terms of cultural references to be considered a movie about real ibans (although they did use real iban extras in this movie). but it's not all about the ibans, is it? it's about john and selima, and jessica alba definitely looks like an iban girl (a very pretty one too!). landik amai ya belakun.

@TrinneLovesAll13 i know thats my favorite part too. and i love hugh dancy too. i've seen almost every movie he's done. he was amazing in ella enchanted.....thats were i fell in love with him . oh and daniel deranda and tempo he's really sexy in those.....oh my god if you haven't seen them you have to watch them.

@TrinneLovesAll13 your welcome. i know, he is cute in ella enchanted. i have the dvd and i watched it like 10 times the day i got it. i just couldn't stop watching it. i love the part when he asks ella to kiss him at the giants wedding......that was so cute. i love the look on his face. oh i wish a guy would look at me like that.

@chellybestieandwifey i know but i blame cecil's mother. she wanted them to get together. in away i think she set it up. he was in love with selima and i'm glad they got back together in the end especially sense they both loved each other.

Despite the fact the movie was based on inhuman event and traditions it ended with a human stop

1) The cruelty of matching between the Englishman and the native

2) Forbidding a love that was forced between 2 people

3) The great jealousy that exceeded the mother to forbid the native daughter happiness

4) Impregnating 2 sisters

*the choice of changing the tradition to help the native girl
