It's a shame that King suffered that horrific knee injury in 1985, because he was developing into one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. In 1983-84 he scored 26.3 PPG while shooting .572 from the floor. That's mind-boggling to think that he was that good of a post player that, as a small forward, he could score that much at that high a percentage.
