Bismarck is boring on paper because new things are kept out. No new influences are allowed if it can be helped.
How long were rock shows not allowed at the civic? I just went to the heritage center for the first time since grade school, exactly the same. However there are people here, bored people, and bored people will find something to do, and will go to great lengths to find entertainment. Crazy times ensue.

This is OK, but some of these aren't even in Bismarck - like the Jamestown Buffalo statue. The music puts me to sleep as well, it really emphasizes the argument that Bismarck is boring.
I live in Bismarck and I would have to say that it is really pretty lame (I am almost 24). I moved away a year ago but was forced to come back because family. When I graduate college I will leave and not come back until I am 55+, because before that there is simply nothing to do. Bismarck has nothing to offer a younger population and does everything they can to shoot down any ideas that the youth bring fourth. This is something that we as a whole should be taking a look at.

To answer that: People around here are very pretentious and closed minded. Stuck up would be a word to use. Sure there are some really friendly people here but after moving away down to Texas and then back again I would have to say that anyone who sais we have such great people here are full of ****.
Bismarck is my hometown. It was nice to find this and all the pictures of the state capitol and the Heritage Center are wonderful. I also enjoyed the pictures from Jamestown.
