@bikegeekmtdx I kinda agree with him, I have a GMC Denali and I love it but I think the brakes are way out of reach, specially when you're going full speed and want to brake.
@talkercv To be honest with you, these bikes are geared too low (like mtn bike gears), and when I come off a hill, the fastest I can do without pedaling super fast is around 35 MPH. With faster gears, I would probably be able to do 40-50MPH (of course, that's only going downhill). My 2010 model has bigger gears in the front than the '06 (the bike in this video).
Wow! nice video. I really want this bike even more now.
Can you tell me what type of pump the tires use? I am not familiar with road bikes. Can I use the standard bike pump on these tires or do I have to buy one separately for road bikes? Thanks.
I got one of these gmc denali bikes a few weeks ago, the new yellow and black one, it is a pretty good bike, I normally don't buy bikes from walmart but it does a good job. I also just got a haro 124, awesome bike, jumps higher than my haro f2 and has more control than my gary fisher opie mountain bike.
@NewYorkOlympians The 124 is lighter than the haro f2, makes it easier to jump, so now that I have answered your question, how about you stop being a dick to people on youtube
@Gilandex Yeah It's the 700c. I got this one at Walmart back in 2006. All I can tell you is that Walmart has limited the sales of this bike in-store, but they have it online for around $160, which you can get it shipped site-to-store for free and pick it up at your local store. The new 2010 model is yellow and silver, two generations ahead of my bike.
the handlebars kinda look like shit, can you change them? and wouldnt it be annoying to have to reach for the brakes when your riding?
countdouchebag1 2 months ago
@countdouchebag1 They can be changed, and no it doesn't annoy me to reach for the brakes because that's where they are supposed to be located.

@talkercv It needs better gearing. With the stock gearing, I can only do around 30-35 MPH down hills.

@HerezBS You multiply what's in the rear freewheel/cassette x the amount of gears in the front cog, hence 7 x 3 = 21

Did you purchase it at walmart?

and also, is this bike fast? Can it do 20 miles+ easily? I pedal about 14-18 miles per hours in average on city flat and some uphill roads.

@pooohz I usually ride between 15-30 miles over 2 hours(a lot of stop and go through flat and moderate slopes).

Hello, I have a question. Does this bike last a while? at least 2 years? I commute occasionally for 25-30 miles.
