  • Way to go man, keep at it! I'd like to see this product in use for "off ice" goalie training here in Victoria B.C.

  • Was there a super-glide facility in Aventura Mall in Miami sometime in the early 2000's? I remember skating in Aventura Mall for my first time and now that I think of it, theres no way they had a literall ice rink in a mall, right?

  • @traintrackzzz We had many seasonal (Nov.-Jan.) rinks in the Miami Area in the 2000’s, they gave many kids the opportunity to skate for the first time, parents wrote to us how their kids enjoyed it so much they continued skating and started taking lessons.

  • All synthetic ice is garbage if you're wearing skates. A slab in your driveway is about all it's useful for.

  • @jcoschino89 That is not what we hear from the parents and players who put a Super-Glide rink in their backyard years ago and are now going to college on a hockey scholarship. Also not what we hear from teams in Canada training on Super-Glide and now are beating other teams with ease due to the strength they have developed. Coaches all agree the benefits to their players are great and their improvement unquestionable.

  • HAHAH. I remember that debut event thing in Miami. I was like 5, but i remember it. :)

  • Most Super-Glide rinks have sharpeners; with a sharpener players enjoy the rinks more. Shooting, Passing Drills and stick handling workouts can all be done standing still making the blades last hours longer. The boot protects your feet so full power passing can be practiced for hours which will help out any team.

  • The blade becomes duller faster than ice, this is not ruining the blades, sharpening is part of ice skating. Ice dulls the blade faster when stopping. Different types of skating (Aggressive game, training, and pleasure skate) all dull the blades at different rates. The average skater has the blades last 45 min.-1 Hr. Professionals up to two hours. Skating for 20 min. on Super-Glide is equivalent to 1 hr. of ice time (endurance and mussel workout).

  • do they dull your skates?

  • Does it damage skates?

  • how much does it cost for canada

    ??

  • @bayleebuck123 You can contact Super-Glide Canada at 1-800-804-9852

    and they will gladly help.

  • i have one of those

  • Do you ship to europe?

  • does it cost a lot and will it work for a backyard rink

  • @swiggyswang15 We currently have holiday special prices for all of our Super-Glide sktaing products. Please call 305-218-2966 and they can help with what product is best for your needs. Yes it will work for backyards. Many people install in their backyards, basements, and garages. Snow, ice, rain and sun will not hurt it.

  • how much does it cost?

  • @giantbmxride We have Holiday Pricing for our Super-Glide products. Please call 305-218-2966 and they can help you decide which Super-Glide product is best for you.

  • Is this stuff too slippery to use for a garage? Can cars park on it, and is it safe to walk on with normal shoes? I heard it is good to use a mop to wet it before use, so I would always be doing that before I skate. We would also have rubber around it so i could step off the ice easily without damaging my skates. would this set up work, or is this not logical?

  • @RajaTheFish You can install Super-Glide in a garage. We reccomend that you put a tarp on it before parking a car on it to keep the surface clean, The weight of the car will not damage the surface. You lightly mist Super-Glide Skate Enhancer on the surface with the spray bottle we provide. You never use so much that it is wet and puddles. The enhancer will dry to the touch. DO NOT USE A MOP Indoor/outdoor carpet is better than using rubber. Rubber makes surface dirty, Carpent cleans blades.

  • i need it!!!!

  • @g35crazy

We do have SPECIAL HOLIDAY PRICING this month! You can call 305-218-2966 to get that pricing and place your order. (Until December 31st only)

  • What would happen if I built a rink outside? Would the repeated rain throughout the summer damage it?

  • @bufalosabresrock4444 No the rain will not hurt it. It would help keep it clean. Our rinks have UV protection are are meant to be enjoyed outdoors.

  • How well would this work if i wanted to practice as a goalie. How would it work for things like shuffles or slides in the butterfly position?

  • Yes you can lay this directly on wood floors.

  • Can i put this in my home if i have wood flooring?

  • Well, Bam Margera bought it once

  • 3- We average one hour of skate time, this would be equivalent to skating four hours on ice. Your technique will be greatly improved as well as endurance. Professional skaters can skate for up to two hours, we have witnessed a seven year old figure skater with $500 blades skate for six hours because she was so light and a very good skater.

  • @GlobalSyntheticIce hey so does this kind of ice melt outside if it was in the summer? cuz i have nothing to practise on

  • @TheTyty548 Super-Glide is a polymer designed for ice skating. It will not melt. We have outdoors in Florida year around.

  • 1 – Do not do hockey stops, this dulls the blade the quickest just as on ice. C-turns keep up your momentum and glide to a stop or use scissor cuts, stops should be concentrated to ice, and practicing stopping is not needed on synthetic surfaces.

2 - Practice correct technique when doing cross overs. Place the feet, do not slam them down, any noise and you are slamming the skates into the surface dulling them quickly, great skaters make no noise when they are smoothly skating,

  • How often skates are sharpener depends on many factors- weight of skater, type of blade, skating technique and elements practiced. Some plastic is very hard and dulls blades quicker then surfaces designed for skating.

  • cool

  • Will this super-glide ice also help with the problem I've had with all synthetic ice, which is, my skates become dull very quick and it makes training for hockey difficult because I am constantly re-sharpening my skates
