Hello All, Victor here. I've never read comments on Youtube before but have enjoyed these. Please take these videos as pure entertainment - That's all. If they are offensive to many of U, I will have them pulled. As U can see, SMV was not too upset about the whole thing. We got over quickly and had a wonderful show that night in Vitoria. Spain is still my favorite country to visit. That won't change. I love the Music, food, and have many friends there. All the best.
smv get what they deserve for doing tooo many bass solo`s ... nobody likes bass solo`s and they dont even have any hot flamenco dancers in their show ....
The replacement driver says he is being fined because he drove too many hours 3 weeks ago. He claims that he cannot be fined because he is the replacement driver, so he cannot be checked by the police according to the european law.
THAT IS WRONG.
According to the spanish law (there is no such thing as "european law", only agreements between countries), the replacement driver can be checked by the police for every activity in the last 28 days
So I almost felt sympathy for SMV when I first saw this. I've since learned
1. Its perfectly legal in Spain for fines to be paid in the officer's car. Foreigners often wouldn't pay the fine before leaving the country, so they have to pay in person, or the car can't go anywhere
man this same thing happened to me when i went to Brazil. customs tried to make me pay tax on my Peavey Cirrus... they wanted $900 FOR TAX! when i paid $995 for the bass...
They have no rights to control borders coz they are no border police. They are called Ertzaintza and it´s a local police from Basque Country, the border police is called Policia Nacional (State Police). Ertzaintza got rights to control car traffic, using that right they put a legal fine for exceeding maximum driving time in 20%. They didn´t get robbed they got fined. This is not Mexico and your drivers must know the EU and Spanish traffic regulations. The fine of 2000€ is the right fine.
I think this should be brought to the attention of the media. Downright robbery. At least you guys stayed pretty cool about it. It shows how pro you are.
i'm from spain and i want to tell you that you must demand them and show this videos so they can't do this again. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. they have robbed you. don't let it go because this is a shame... demand them!
All I gotta say is: Nice. Bus!

2. The offices close around 14:00 everyday.
3. There are no borders in the EU. This stop is done as a routine stop to make sure that bus drivers are legally rested.
4. This video is probably illegal.

Musicians will just have to climb over the mountains in camouflage, like the Taliban but with gig bags instead of bazookas.

Just had a vision when Mr.Clarke was saying Victor was his back-up of all you guys in a Kung Fu or 'splotation flick together.
Get a hold of Michael Jai White and maybe he can cast you in the Black Dynamite sequel and have SMV on the score.
