Hey! I just got back from watching Katlynn's free skate at sectionals and guess what?....SHE CAME 3RD! Woohoo! And she also qualified for U.S Nationals next year :P

(if she can get clean triples which remains to be seen, is she doing triples in competition yet? I know it seemed to take a long while for her to get her doubles clean in competition so I'm just wondering how the triples are going), but I don't understand the major hype right now.

I haven't seen her triples yet, but i heard that she landed a triple sal at a non-qualifying competition. I'm still waiting to see her FS from sectionals. Based on her high scores, she might have done one there.

still don't quite get all the hype over Katlynn. Her skating seems quite frantic and a lot of her moves still lack polish. Its obviously not a huge thing and its quite common for skaters her age and level, but I guess I don't undestand why she's the one getting all the attention. I don't see much true, honest expression from her yet, again not that it is to be expected at that age/level but for all the hype I suppose I was expecting something more.

I kind of feel the same way. I like her skating, but there are girls out there that are the same age and level as her that are better. I still like her anyway though
