There was a credit crunch because the malinvestment needed to be liquidated. You are continuing the bad policies of the past by calling for more lending. Interest rates need to rise and people need to start saving and invest when it profitable to do so. There are no quick fixes for this problem.

The truth is that most small businesses are started with loans from banks and most are responsible in paying them back.

The whole premise of fractional reserve banking is to protect the deposits, both public and private. If we were to revert to using gold and silver as currency and having the banks hold full deposits, bank robberies would escalate and innocent people would get hurt. There was a credit crunch because the malinvestment needed to be liquidated. You are continuing the bad policies of the past by calling for more lending. Interest rates need to rise and people need to start saving and invest when it profitable to do so. There are no quick fixes for this problem.

It'd also be great if we could make a law prohibiting corporate donations to political campaigns, and bringing back the glass-steagall act into effect. That would really change the mindset in the political sphere, and strongly benefit the average American. I hope your staff reads this, I'll be writing you a letter soon...

The US Treasury's function, through its Bureau of the Mint and Bureau of Engraving and Printing, actually produces the nation's cash supply and sells the paper currency to the Federal Reserve Banks.
The 44 other nations that helped create the Fed would be quite pissed at the US if we abolished the Federal Reserve banking system, which would lead to 1907-type "bank runs". Wouldn't that be fun! NOT!

As for the US dollar as a reserve currency, there is no purpose for it. All that is needed is for banks to issue gold and silver certificates (redeemable for physical gold and silver) and for fractional reserve banking to be treated as fraud (which it is) and legal tender laws abolished. This would end Govt caused bank runs

The whole premise of fractional reserve banking is to protect the deposits, both public and private. If we were to revert to using gold and silver as currency and having the banks hold full deposits, bank robberies would escalate and innocent people would get hurt. What we need is something - More political parties in congress, No more filibustering, anything. With this 2 party dictatorship exchanging the same dirty tricks every 2-8 years, America will go weaker. Regardless who's in power. These two parties do not care for America's future, to cooperate and actually put together solutions to improve the country and solve its problems. All they care for is control if it means obtaining it through cocksucking and calling the other guys Nazis.

I love how people are calling supporters sheep. When in reality if you have that mindset where just because the incumbant sucks, the opposing candidate is better. You are a goddamn sheep. We elected Obama just any democrat because Bush sucked. And really will you elect even just any weak Republican asshole because Obama sucks? It's no wonder even a boneheaded ditz like Sarah Palin has so much influence right now. God help us if she is ever elected. God help us if we keep electing this way.

It's not going to make a difference putting Republicans in power. It always turns every 2-8 years. One party wins power, the other party sucks the dicks of Americans and try to make a point the the other party is related to Nazis until they get power. Then when they do gain power they stop giving a shit about what Americans want, while the other party starts doing the dicksucking and the Nazi/communist/dictator name calling.

The Bush joke was on us, the Big Banks and Big Oil almost we need to stand ever vigilant in support of The Presidents of The United States and his good economic stance that has saved us from another great depression.

@NookulerFreedom I don't think you understand the process by which YouTube displays the related videos on the right. Seems to me that the videos on the right represent the most recently and popular videos watched. You are a bit foolish (and those who "Liked" this comment) to think that the "Administration" has control over what displays. For instance, the Comic-Con videos are due to the event occuring over the past weekend. Channels can only use tags for relation which all look fine to me.

They don't deserve it. They aren't any better morally than the poor and in fact, they are often much worse. No due process is accorded. No charges or trials are necessary. No evidence is offered, nor any opportunity for the accused to deny these accusations. Instead, in Obama’s America, the way to guilt is determined by a death penalty.
