  • This song played when the nite oil case was obviously solved. Eyerybody got back to what he/she did before. But Lt. Exley and Bud White had doubts about the ending. Something was wrong. Just watch the movie. And the song is marvellous!

  • 5sluggo you're right. Just more great ladies of song back in the late 40s and early 50s. There were just so many it's hard to remember them all when you're commenting on the spur of the moment.

  • @Eustake And Shutter Island :)

  • I've been spinning this song since 1952, age 3, believe it or not!! Have a 78, 45, and 2 CDs of this song. Such a great song by a classy lady and singer. What a voice! Like Jo Stafford, Doris Day, Patti Page, those ladies would put the likes of Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Shakira to shame! They should emulate these great ladies, imagine how they would sound If they did along with a great orchestra arrangement as backup as those great ladies had!

  • thanks for the comment yes y6ou are right they would put alot of todays singers to shame

    thanks nick

  • I will forever associate this song with its masterful placement in "L.A. Confidential".

  • I met her in 1948 at a concert of hers and again at her Wheel of Fortune concert in 1952. She remembered me and we became good friends. We would meet at least once a month starting in 1953 if she was not busy and I would design her something to wear. I am much older than her.
