I was a loyal Audi customer for 10 years, owning an A6, S4 and A4. Then my 2006 S4 engine failed and Audi Corporate screwed me. Now it's war! @AudiReallySucks on twitter
if i had the money for any luxury car i'd seriously get the audi, just because of those headlights. and i wouldn't regret it, they're the best cars out there anyway.
people say this is overpriced but the merc e350 starts at even higher price add awd and the option and you get the same or even higher price.... too much mercs and bimmers or driving around anyway......all of audis new cars command presence....does anyone noticed that since audi made LED running lights cool everyone is copying them but audi still makes the best of them all
@incediery Day time running lights are just new to the U.S. They will become mandatory by law in the E.U. very soon. So it's more on that end why you see them on more cars now a days.
@renshoota yea the government may make daytime running lights mandatory but not LEDs...look at the lexus IS chrysler 300 mercedes c,e,s classes crap I've see the kia optima with LEDs in the bumper....all look like cheap knock offs and after thoughts.....the LED theme makes audis look distinctive and serious...
@incediery True, it does not have to be and LED based lighting system but if we think to design such a system then LEDs are the best way to go. So it's sort of convergent technology solutions. I'm sure if Xenons were as simple and cost effective somebody would have thought of doing the same. I'm not saying that Audi's daytime lights are not the best by a long shot, but I'm just saying that LEDs are the solution of choice and so more manufacturers will turn to that. It's just economics.
Anyone who said this is overpriced is out of their mind.
Mark my words: if you are shopping in this segment, go buy this car now.
A6 is priced 5k lower because Audi wants to challenge the E class and 5 series, my S4 which has considerably less cool gadgets and worse interiors is actually more expensive than A6. In a few years, expect Audi to bump up the price.
@1bentley4ever -I drove a Kia Optima some months ago when I was doing a consulting job in Tampa and the car was not half bad. It had all of the options and it got great gas mileage. The Audi A6 is nice vehicle but if I could afford it I would buy the A7 which is turbo charged or the A8 for the room.
@run2jazz22 I think it is safe to say that either the A6, A7, or A8 are never going to be a bad buy. My favorite Audis are the V6T S4, the V8 powered S5, and the A8. I would say that the S5 has to be my favorite overall.
It would be between 50-60K depending on options. But I'd rather pay that and get a supercharged V6, rather than shell out $42,600 for a crappy 4 banger that probably doesn't get any better fuel economy.
@InfernalJay It doesn't have 2 sets of DRL. The "dots" are the LED headlights while the lower ones acts as a DLR. If you don't opt for the LED light package, you just get the DLR that changes into a turn signal.
Great car at a decent price. Having owned all brands of the luxury cars, I can tell you that Audi's have the best interiors by far, but BMWs handle so much better than the other two.
I hate those full LED headlights, my neighbor just got a new Q7 and those things are so damn annoying head on and just blind you and don't look as cool as projector headlights and also cost a small fortune on top of everything.
Remember, this is taking a shot at the BMW 5-series. With its price, BMW better be aware, but they are; the 5-series did get a slight redesign last model year; check out this page for the review of the 5 series. The A6 that's tested here with Quattro would compare with an X-drive 5-series.
Hehe rear-end looks like the Kia Optima.. Yes I know Audi Engineer designed KIA cars. I like the Audi cars but they all look the same at least the front does. I'm still not sure which one I would get if I wanted one..

Looks like a 2012 passat WAY too much to justify the price. Sorry.

It does look like a Kia. Lot of money for a V6.
run2jazz22 3 months ago
@run2jazz22 That is because the designer of Kia was a former Audi designer. You should say that the Kia Optima looks like an Audi.

I love how it has 2 sets of DRL. Love the new more aggressive looking fromt. Not loving the back really. I mean last generation was better than this
