All in all, the jeep was trying to beat a red light. and he failed :)

It's like so many random motorbike accidents, where the biker isn't actually at fault...there are just as many lunatics in cars as there are on motorbikes...But if you get hit like that whilst on a motorcycle, you'll get badly hurt.
