I can understand the school firing for her for lying about sick day off to go on to Howard Stern show, but to fire her due to morals, I think is plain stupid. It's not like she went completely nude on TV or as if seen in a porn magazine. Had she called in vacation time off and did I'd say no big deal so long as she doesn't get fired for the morality of it. Sure it might not be the smartest thing to do as a teacher but what she does out side of her work is her own business not the school's.

I know you guys don't have real job so you wouldn't know about it, but you are actually given a certain amount of sick days per year and you can call in sick and you don't even need to say why you are not coming in.
Technically that isn't correct. Policies from companies and employers tend to vary, but usually sick days are only supposed to be taken when there either yourself or a member of your immediately family is sick. A lot of companies discipline employees who lie about being sick to get the day off. Companies usually have personal days in which an employee does not have to give any reason to use it. If personal and sick days are combined then no information needs to be given.

I could be wrong, but contrary to what Cenk said I'm pretty sure teachers don't generally get "vacation days." They're off for the various holidays and breaks, and they can take off for certain specific reasons. But it's not like they get two weeks vacation to use when school is in session. I'm guessing she couldn't have gone in and said, "I need to take Friday off to go on the Howard Stern show."

What's absurd about this news is the fact that that teacher lied to her employers and is now suing them because she thinks their termination of her employment was "sexist". And this guy...he said himself that her taking a sick day off go to the Howard Stern Show was wrong, but without even hearing passed "morality clause", he forgets lying is immoral and says he's pissed off.. I could be wrong, but contrary to what Cenk said I'm pretty sure teachers don't generally get "vacation days." They're off for the various holidays and breaks, and they can take off for certain specific reasons. But it's not like they get two weeks vacation to use when school is in session. I'm guessing she couldn't have gone in and said, "I need to take Friday off to go on the Howard Stern show."
