  • Model T magnets are supposed to be able to lift a three Lb. piece of steel when fully charged. We use a larger permanent magnet from a radar antenna to charge them. Ed never knew about rare earth magnets, it would probly be lots cheaper to get those, you'd have a far stronger magnetic field and wast fewer Model T parts.

  • @MrJoeVig thank you that should be quite useful in the future.

  • go to Snydersantiqueauto(DOT)com. Ford model t flywheel magnets for sale.

  • Anyone else with a source of magnets?

  • @skinostra correction on the length 10 inches is probably better.

  • @gavizz51 I know eh :)

  • I love how ur xbox controller is just chillen there

  • And of course size can vary.

  • It was quite hard, I found. A man who collected model-T's throughout his life he'd had over 100 but you see he wasn't willing to sell 120 for any less then $10 so i probably couldn't get any more, but i will replicate them and then see if I can observe any effects in a generator. I'll try to you with this: apparently the magnets are hot rolled steel, if they were straight they'd be approximately 9 inches long, they were magnetized with approximately 60 amperes about 90 years ago, I don't know w
