I do regret that I've probably acted a bit too arrogant and thus caused some of you to be less likely to consider checking out Tool's music. If anything, don't let me sour you on Tool. They're a great band. They're not the "greatest"- as I don't believe in such titles. These types of conversations are all about subjective opinions. Just understand that I was just taking the piss out of OLR and the first guy who got mad at me. I don't mean anything personal. Let's all try to get along. ;)

Wow, this band sounds like a complete rip-off of Three Doors Down. I remember when rock bands all sounded like Led Zeppelin rip-offs, which at least had the virtue of ripping off a great band to begin with. sigh

Mainstream rock music the past decade has been one hack after anothter from Creed/Staind/Nickleback/Hoobas­tank/Crossfade etc etc etc...and then you have all these bands trying to make it big, such as One Less Reason, who just sound like less-talented versions of the aforementioned garbage bands.

Do yourself a favor and by all five Tool albums. Listen to every song. It will open your third eye and help you to realize how shitty bands like One Less Reason really are.

Well, then it's all the more inexcusable for you to both a) be a fan of Tool, and b) still listen to crap like One Less Reason.

Unfortunately, Tool isn't capable of opening everyone's third eye. Some people are so douche-tastic, that they cannot be helped even by the thunder of Danny Carey's drums.

Really, though, I'm just messing with you. I'm not a music Nazi. I can't help that I think bands like Onelessreason are shite. But honestly there's nothing wrong with you liking them.

I have a friend who loves Tool, AND he still loves to listen to Backstreet Boys. I almost stopped being his friend because of this, but he convinced me that he really just likes their melodies and that I should have more of a "to each their own" attitude. So you're right, I shouldn't be so hard on bands like OneLessReason even though I think they are actually cause for me to have one less reason to have any faith in the direction of modern rock music.

It's fine if you like OneLessReason. I'll admit that KOL are a guilty pleasure. They're from my hometown - what can I say? I'm not a music Nazi, I just felt like giving them a hard time. obviously you don't even know you own favorite band enough. in their 1992 music video "Hush" they all had long hair. Can you not respect a good song when you hear one? drwolcot - you said they "ARE a bunch of freaks with long hair" not "WERE..." - you used present-tense. Maynard hasn't had long hair, or ANY hair for that matter, in a little over a decade. He wore goofy ass wigs in APC. But the rest of the band, as I said, have long hair. However, Justin Chancellor had a buzz cut the first couple years or so he was in Tool I believe. And btw, Chancellor wasn't in the "Hush" video - that was their former bassist Paul D'Amour
