That's very ingenious but I don't see the advantage over - say - a rectangle. If it is light enough it can be easily lifted and moved. The cylinder reduces the area touching the ground where they can peck. Maybe rather than over engineering, the emphasis should be on weight.

Lovely idea I don't like the smaller floor space but it is definitely an out-of-the-box idea. Foxproof as well which many portables don't address
