I really like the idea behind the video. It shows too much of a French gift, the Statue of Liberty. It would be nice if it showed some of Germany and focused more on the fusion between the two countries instead of the focus being on the U.S.A. alone.
The post war relations between USA and Germany are a wonderful story of success. Even though we may disagree on certain issues from time to time, Germany will always remain at your side.

I thought the american barbarians bombed Dresden into hell...also, why are the american barbarians (atombombers) stationed in Germany; isn't WWII over yet? Did I miss something? I loved natinonal socialism lol...but the american savages destroyed the only well working social system promoted by the Germans. To the video: its a good symbol but in my opinion not very well made. It sounds like only the germans were bad and begun wars, but whats about the Vietnamwar for example? Maybe this doesnt matter, because God blesses America of course ;)

In a way I agree with you. The way how the US helped us after World War II was remarkable and in a way we should all be grateful for that. ( still don't forget why they joined the war, just because of Pearl Harbour. They realised that if they wouldn't help the Brits, Europe would have fallen into the hands of the Nazis and they couldn't have won a war against Japan and Nazi Europe )

If you think about it, the people who immigrated to America where those who weren't making it in Europe. Why else would they spend several weeks crammed together on a boat, if their life back home was at all pleasant? For them, the chance to start over was worth all of that hardship, but in reality was generated by the fact that they really had nothing to lose. I don't believe it is fair to compare our countries involvement in Afganistan to my country's involvement in Iraq. The situation in Afganistan presents itself with everything that the one in Iraq lacks. First, there is a direct link between the Taliban and the 9-11 attacks and none to Iraq. Second, there is a clear objective in Afganistan and none in Iraq. Finally, there is a reasonable (although flexible) exit strategy for Afganistan, and none in Iraq.

Hey Leute...nettes video...auch eine nette Idee. Ich muss sagen, ich danke Amerika für die Hilfe im 2. Weltkrieg. Allerdings muss ich hinzufüen, dass es viele sachen gibt die mich an Amerika stören. Erstens das Waffengesetz: es ist leider schade dass ihr so auf eure waffen besteht, so dass man wenn man an amerika denkt, nen macho cowboy vor augen hat. Ich meine euer Land ist wunderschön. Soo viele Möglichkeiten atemberaubende Landschaften zu sehen. Aber das Land, verdient eine bessere Politik!

Es ist wichtig zu erinnern, dass wir Amerikaner auf vielen dieser Probleme nicht übereinstimmen (Waffengesetze; Todesstrafe; Irak; homosexuelle Ehe; und Abtreibung) auch. Sie sind besprochen und seit so vielen Jahren diskutiert worden, und es wird eine Zeit nie geben, wenn jeder sich über alles einigt. Obschon, wenn wir auf der Politik nicht übereinstimmen , können wir noch Freunde sein.

In a way I agree with you. The way how the US helped us after World War II was remarkable and in a way we should all be grateful for that. ( still don't forget why they joined the war, just because of Pearl Harbour. They realised that if they wouldn't help the Brits, Europe would have fallen into the hands of the Nazis and they couldn't have won a war against Japan and Nazi Europe )

In my opinion the USA is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. People are brain-washed all over there.
And honestly, you can't call the relationship between Germany (most other european countries) and the USA as a friendship. It's more a leadership of the USA, Germany has to follow their rules and if they don't they won't be friends anymore.

It's very nice to see that when it comes to friendship, the Swiss are still neutral! There is plenty of corruption in all governments. This is about the friendship between the people of two countries, not about politics.
