I dunno. Taking a really done and overdone plot concept like this and doing it so...originally and well. I don't think that introducing zombies or monsters would "ruin" it...this has alot of potential regardless of the direction they take with it. It's really brilliant.

No, he hinted there are probably monsters or zombies. That's not good for the plot. It's so cliche! I wanna see an end of the world scenario where it's just a small group of people and their dynamics, without zombies or enemies.

Or for that matter... an island without "the others" that are ruining a much simpler yet much more fascinating situation.

Am I the only one who thinks the first things to do are: 1). Secure weapons.2). procure food, water, and medical supplies.3). Establish a secure, fortified position.4). Get generators, fuel, lights, and refrigeration online.5). wonder what happened to all of the animals?

I hope you're being serious, because that would be awesome! On the flip side, I hope if you are serious that you put a few more things down in your hole, like more then one match to start with. And maybe set yourself up for a more balanced diet... like some Lucky Charms. Which leads me to a good question. What would be the best "I survived a disaster" cereal in your guys' opinion?

lol, i have a cardboard box for nuclear attacks, a plastic bag for biochemical outbreaks (just put the bag over your head, and tape it shut, no air can get through), a foam rocket shooter for zombie attacks, a surplus of hot pockets, noodles, and a veggie garden, a plastic knife, and a map. Of course i'll avoid gun stores, supermarkets, army bases, and other safe zones.
