Is that first one the Spirit of Akron? It was the one and only Loral GZ-22 to be produced, and was meant to show the US Department of Defense that airships were still viable militarily. Unfortunately, it crashed later in its career.

I think it was 2001.I have more video of all 4 blimps. This video only shows 3 Blimps.They put 2 blimps in the Hanger befor this video starts. I will have to get the rest soon.

The first blimp is the Spirit of Goodyear, the replacement for the Spirit of Akron.

This was the end of the christening ceremony of the "Spirit of America" N10A and the decommissioning of the "Eagle", formerly N10A.

Yes,you can watch the blimps real close at the Wingfoot Lake Hanger, about 5 miles east of Akron Ohio. They have parking for just the blimp watchers.
