@05giacomo that is not true, since the bible talks about those who are chaste for God. And what of those who are unmarried, are they not suppost to be celibate as well? It is a beautiful thing.
@willthacheerleader18 no believe me it is not normal..it is out of HATE against the sexes...i know it im grown up in a hardcore catholizist background ;))
@05giacomo i am catholic. and celibacy is, in protestantism as well, seen as a beautiful commitment to God. Even Episcopalians and Lutherans have nuns. And many Christians remain unmarried. It is not of hate towards anyone, but love of God.
@willthacheerleader18 i afraid you have a wrong picture of god ;))...for god celibacy is NOT more faithful or better...this is a very neurotic and dangerous ideology because it is actually against LIFE ITSELF....it is for special cases adequat, but im 100 % sure god wants 99 % of the people to have a partner...the whole IDENTITY of humans ist made for this..again the belief that marriage is something, less faithful, unworthy ect ect...is antisocial, offending, and very stupid...greetings !
@05giacomo i never said it was "more" faithful or "better". It is simply another way of showing devotion and love, as is marriage. one is not better than the other, they are equal. Chastity is a practice that goes way back. It shows complete devotion to God. It is a beautiful thing. You cannot be 100% sure of what God wants, or you would be God.
@willthacheerleader18 HAHAHA..THIS is in fact a lie XDD...catholic norm says that married man ar not enough worthy to celebrate mass....this is the true status quo of catholizism...and please ,stop offending , you making yourself ridicoulus !! XD
@05giacomo HAHAHA THAT is not true. Want to know why? because Catholic Churches under the eastern rites (byzantine, ukranian, greek, melkite, etc) can have married priests. It is merely a tradition of the western rite to not have married priests (but there are some in the latin rite, through the anglican use).
I love being Catholic! <3

Jesus and St. Paul both spoke of the value of optional celibacy for the sake of the Kingdom. Look it up.

@05giacomo Jesus and St. Paul were celibate. If they're Godless, then this world is a lie.
