@lasda13 he's no Marleau, if that's what you're saying. Marleau is bigger, faster, skates better, kills penalties, wrecks on the power play, snipes with the best of them, and is pretty much the shit in every category. Logan is a third line center who plays a smart two-way game. Sort of like Pavelski when he was a rook.
He's a lock for making the roster out of training camp, so it should be fun to see how he develops next season!
@korky94 he does have soft hands. especially along the boards and in the corners, and when he's at his best, he's untouchable. Also, he GOES TO THE FRONT OF THE NET.
@korky94 marleau was drafted 2nd overall at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft when he was 17, even younger than Joe Thornton when he got drafted in the same draft, literally minutes before marleau. They were both on the same line before they went different ways and then came back.
@christylesangle12378 Juicy has played his role admirably thus far, and considering he's been getting 3rd line minutes, with an injured Heatley as his winger, I'd say 2 goals (one of which was the game winner) and a +2 rating on the ice through 6 playoff games is pretty impressive for a 21 year old rookie. Sharks needed somebody to score that night, and the youngsters stepped up big time.
@flogmolly Yeah, you're right, and if I'm gonna complain about anybody's play, it's gonna be the marleau, Couture's been good, you're right. I set my expectations a little high for him because of how well he was in the regular season.
@christylesangle12378 Ah I know, Jumbo's line will click eventually. It's only a matter of time. Imagine how deadly the Sharks will be once the top line gets going.
@alucardXX2009 Yes indeed, I'd have to check the boxscores but that sounds about right! Thornton and Marleau each have a GWG in this series, too. That's what we need from them.
I was @ that game

Can Logan Couture efficiently fill the big shoe left by Patrick Marleau?? Is he a good investment for the Shark Territory future?

Marleau also came into the league when he was, what, 18,19?
couture is i believe, 21?
but i do like Couture alot and i think he has better hands and maybe better vision..
Marleau has always had a top 5 wrist shot in the league tho..

@christopherwinsor yup. Did you see his goal last night? Jacks Omark in the neutral zone, turns it into a 2 on 1 rush, heads to the net and scores.

@KornWasCool If last night was any indication of his clutchosity, the Sharks have an absolute gamer in their lineup.
