  • wow, nice track

  • is there any skill in this

  • yes, but not the skill such as driving an rc car or controlling a slot car around the turns. The skill is completely at a mechanical level. Basically, the smoother you make your car run, the fast you go, and then you have to get it to stay inside the track, which sounds easy on the straights and most curves, but then there are some hard fast curves, jumps and other sorts of technical parts that make it challenging. This video is rather old and these cars can go much faster nowadays.

  • @rizzlecicks here is all about tuning.........

  • how long for one lap

  • ang haba ng tracks..

  • @venedickacer what?

  • @ho33es he meant the track is wicked.

  • @ho33es he said "the tracks are long"! I know tagalog :D

  • @ho33es He said "The tracks are very long" in filipino

  • @ho33es He Says The Tracks Are Very Long He Is Speaking Filipino...:)

  • @ho33es "the tracks are too long" he/she is speaking in tagalog

  • @venedickacer I UNDERSTAND. IM FILIIPINO

  • i want to see a silver-wound AC motor set-up or Kyoso on this track since i use those motors instead of tamiya motors, the AC plasma just switch the brush and use silver wire and it'll have the same battery consumption as a rev-runed motor but 8 times faster

  • @TMPG2009 I didn't understand half that, with the exception of of silver wire part, but i'm guessing you're a slot car expert. What kind of rpm do these motors of yours pull out?

There's 3 wheeled trikes for these tracks which run motors with well into the 6 digits rpm, which can achieve speeds beyond 60 mph. Well not exactly for this track, since one bump and the little bugger will go flying, but in tracks with no elevation changes.

  • @TMPG2009 but if u are using an AC motor, how do you convert from the DC AA Batteries to your required AC? via a DC/AC converter you build?

  • i think this wasn't plasma, rather ultradash or jet.

  • @alronmendoza both ultra dash and jet dash are much faster than a plasma dash. The motors in these videos are probably atomic tuned, rev tuned and torque tuned.

  • @ho33es yeah maybe atomic.. hehe with 4.2 gear

  • @SUPERFORMIAN

They can't use Plasma-Dash for this track as it is too big and the Plasma-Dash would just drink up the battery. Eventually, the car may come to a stop in the middle of the third lap

  • I hope TAMIYA start a tour at Philippines.. ): there are lots of people here who're waiting for that day.. My Phantom Blade would like to test that kinda track for its first race.. haven't used it on track yet.. LOL

  • i got a collection of 24 of these tamiya mini 42d

  • gotta watch the 'let's and go' and learn some lessons

  • Oh man, that looks so COOL!!! Wish there's a track that LONG in Kuching,Malaysia...I wonder will my Blitzer sonic handle the track...

  • someone should really attach a mini camera to a car in a race like this and post it here

  • Are They runing brushless systems ?

  • Think Atomic tuned motors could do just as well.

  • way over priced

  • SWEEET

  • whats up im in to rc cars and trucks and i just saw your vid this is amazing this is my first time seeing this kind of vehicle and tracks. I'm very curious on how it all works is it remote control or just battery powered or what? THIS IS SO COOL MAN it someone has the time to explain i would apreciate it im fascinated with this type of stuff 5 stars

  • This is called tamiya mini 4wd and yes battery powered car and no its not remote control and its not a slot car. it's just being guided by the track and roller on the car speed depends on the set up you have and motor you have. All official race you must use pure tamiya parts and must past a car check before racing

  • @rcdriver26 I have 1/8 scale buggies too. I prefer rc. These are cool though. You just switch them on and they four little horizontally mounted guide wheels that go around the walls of the track. It's just switch on and go. No controlling it at all.

  • @hakkujin

yup, u just switch it on. but the stability and speed depends on the tuning of the car. the fact that u dont control it is quite the thrill as your runs depend on luck and some skill. cheers

  • @nastymaggots More skill than luck :P. Well, it depends how much of experience you have with them and your understanding of physical forces. But i do admit i've learned a lot about physics over the years with mini4wd and trikes (the 100 mph 3 wheeled mini4wds). I'd say that if you carefully inspect the track and there's no earthquakes :P, then luck dependency is reduced to null. Of course, when i was a kid and learning about car setup, yeah, it was mostly luck. hehe. But fun times nonetheless.

  • to light it will flip off,to heavy it will be to slow,to fast it will fly off,to slow and it will suck, the set up used sometimes r amazing

  • Something like this should be nascars next track idea lol

  • big scary track! Plasma-Dashes used?

  • tamiya 4wd vs ferrari spyder!

  • do they still sell these cars?

  • yeah... you can order it on ebay.. i ordered mine.. its on its way to my house.

  • Can we buy the track?? Lolz..

  • yes you can, for 300$ you get 4 long bloc, 4 corner, one "ponte"

buy 5 complete track and you can build this

  • in inglese ponte si dice "bridge"

What extreme was refering to by ponte is bridge, which is the lane changing feature of the track, which is also tricky if you go too fast. Its one of the funner parts of this hobby and its tracks.

  • JESUS that's a lot of turns! That would make my car fly out in a matter of seconds O.o

  • V nice track!!

  • nice track...

  • OMG when i saw this vid i started playin again with my gunbluster and cyclone magnum i like the show and the toy too! XD

  • Bello

  • cuanti anni ay??'

  • tamiya mini 4wd!!! Awesome......my fav. toys!!

  • man i miss those days...i used to bring a toolbox filled with 4wds :D

  • Where was this at ?

  • yes

  • tamiya???

  • put an onboard camera on one of those!!

  • google 'sirio mini4wd', you will find some videos with onboard camera.

  • WoW SO LONG !!

  • hey where do u get5 those motorized cars

  • hobby store (hardly anymore) or online like towwerhobbies (dot com) or etamaya (dot com) usually under tamiya for kids if not in its own catagory

  • wwatta race track! thats nice!

  • how do those tiny things go so fast

  • @KingofallCarrots A small yet powerful motor

I know b/c i use to have one of those cars :D

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • is there a sprint race or like a drag race?..

    like 1/4 mile straight stretch?....
