Bing....I believe you...I grew up in Roosevelt , Tx. and know the Simon Bros. , Clay and Kelly Dan and their father Gene---as a young girl girl, I grew up with Gayle who runs the Back Door Cafe---I have alot of fond memories of that place ---you brought back alot of memories for sure..
Sure, ever chance I get !! The Back Door Cafe is the place to go on a Friday or Saturday night.....friends and neighbors from around there and surrounding towns come to visit and eat Gayles good food !!
I love it Bing...theres a place like that in Stilson Ga called the Country Country...Hardware, Gas, Bait, school supplies, garden plants and a diner where half the town eats ...every basic need you might have was supplied at the only business in town. You remnded me of my eight years in that locale
Been there a many times... Grew up in Junction just a few miles to the east. You got the hot as hell part correct. :)
