  • so sick! thanks for the inspiration. your feel is incredible!

  • My god man...your playing is incredible.

  • Man you're solo was stunning ! It respects the SRV style of solo + your own style !

I truly admire your work here bro' !

  • what was that sound in the beginning he made? never seen or heard that before

  • nice man!!!! can you tell me where you found this backing track plz

  • what a fucking tune !!! NICE

  • çok iyisin

  • please do more srv cover, crossfire!!!

  • How did you do that trick at 0:07? And nice man!

  • @HD28HD hit the string behind the nut you can bend them up there too

  • Awesome! Well played and Nice Strat BTW <3

  • Nice o.0

  • This is absolutely sick. Bravo!

  • what are you recording with?

  • @jp022x Check out my video "Relic stratocaster and my other gear" for more information about my guitar and gear :)

  • Best cover yet. He's not just hitting the right notes like some people do....he's got the right sound & most important.....the "feeling". When most players cover SRV, though they might technically play it correctly, they often lack that feeling....soul...magic touch, etc. It's something you can't learn. You either have it or you don't have it. I play keyboards. I have a great ear for music & I know music. I also know good when I hear it. This dude it fantastic & he's definitely got "it".

  • We would like to see a "how-to-relic"... Seriously some of the coolest homemade relic i've ever seen :)

  • 0:07 wow! That's a nice trick!!

  • woah......................

  • you got it , my man!!!!

  • Guitar=Sexy as Shit

  • subscribed!

    WOW!

  • ...That's a Classic Vibe right? Fucking awesome tone and relic job, especially on poly. Are they the stock pickups? Which CV model did it start out as, 50's or 60's, and what did you replace to get it to what it is?

  • OMG YOUR TONE! Thats one fucking epic tone you got there dude!

  • Nice man!

Love that Road Worn Strat too, it just looks the business!!!

  • Holy fuck bro

  • sick playing

  • Have my babies.

  • sexy guitar and playing

  • amazing! but tht strat looks like its been thru some tough times eh?;)

  • Awesome! Nice job!

  • You`re real proper! :)))))

  • Sweetness

  • Sandra ! LOL

    Pretty awesome !

men which camera do you used in this video ??

  • dude...can play...love this shit

  • awesome ! i like it the tone and the guitar ..

  • nice guitar! fender road worn?

  • you shred

  • i love it man, such tight technique!...its great

  • Your chops are good but your sound? Sounds like Surfin with the Alien goes to Austin Texas! Clean that shit up a bit and you're happening. Shredding and blues don't mix

  • this cover is absolutely incredible :D whats that technique you do with the vibrato?

  • Damn dude. What pickups are in that strat? very nice tone

  • DAMN, you teach lessons?

  • @jtp0213 Well... I feel like I should be taking lessons rather than giving them!;)

  • @TurquoiseArmies nah should really give lesson for this stuff, dude you rock hardcore powerranger style!"

  • perfect sound! reealy great.

  • I dig the playing man........that video game/bubble gum tone is a little hard on the ears, but yeah, I do like the style....

  • Green tortex pick and amazing tone! Nice! What program are you getting your tone from?

  • What camera are you using to record this. It's not the Iphone 4 with iMovie, is it? For some reason the intro slide looks familiar.

  • @DistortedV12 Recorded with Canon EOS 500D, edited with iMovie like you assumed

  • @DistortedV12

Tjis isn't from an iPhone! LOL! They don't go up to 1080p. But he's def. using iMovie... :-)

  • Very, very nice sound. Nice guitar too. What kind of pick-ups do you use?

    Are you using a Leslie-speaker or Vibratone-amp?

  • @zelissen sorry for the late reply...Van Zandt Vintage plus in neck and middle, Lollar Strat special in the bridge. All of my recordings are done with Line6 Pod XT Live straight into a computer. And yes, for this tone I added a touch of Vibratone from the pod! Thanks for watching! :)

  • @TurquoiseArmies Pretty interesting that you are using a POD XT given the caliber of player you are. I kind of thought that you would be more of an AXE FX kind of guy. Do you use the POD when you play out or just at home?

  • @cosmiccharlienh1 Pod is really convenient to record with (silently). I use it for practicing when I need to be quiet. I've heard great things about axe fx, but they are kinda pricey? For everything else I use a Fender '71 Pro Reverb. I'm planning on making a video of my setup(s), but I've been super busy lately..

  • i love your tone

  • DUDE this is awesome!!

  • I'm in LOVE with your guitar!

  • i need to learn this solo NOW

  • GREAT JOB DUDE!

  • Not bad but this was performed considerably slower than SRV does.

  • AWESOME !!!!

  • dude thats insane!!! do you have any tabsssss??????

  • whats the name of that little trick you did at 0:08, and how do i do it? :)

  • @cavedweller1996 he plucks the string behind the nut and the uses the whammy bar to bend the note.

  • Great tone and playing! I thoroughly enjoyed it. :) What kind of Strat is that?

  • i love that strat, nice playing

  • Oh and by the way, awesome playing!! Really love your guitar aswell.. Does your classic vibe stay in tune well? Mine goes out of tune pretty quickly :( (especially when using the whammy) maybe I have to replace the bridge/tuners.. already switched the nut with a graphtech one.

  • dude sick playing! what are your settings for the xt live? i have one too and i wanna get some of that tone!

  • @Haslamrocks please, i really want these settings..

  • @Haslamrocks Sorry I dont have these settings any more...Just find a good overdrive sound and ad some "rotary drum" from the pod.

  • Nice tone and solo dude

  • Is there any advice you can offer to a fellow guitarist?

  • @ryanxboxlive what?! :D i'm just a dude...

  • @TurquoiseArmies was just wondering what type of wood your fretboard is made of:P Those all black fretboards looks so cool! And: Sick solo!

  • @seb110893 It is a rosewood fretboard. I used a black dye from Stewmac to make it look like ebony! Really compliments a white strat imo.

  • @TurquoiseArmies Cool! I'm looking for a new strat at the moment and i really love the looks and feel of a ebony fretboard. But i have only seen very few strats with ebony fretboards. It isen't realy that common is it? Wonder why

  • @TurquoiseArmies did you also age it yourself?

  • @TurquoiseArmies Did you have to remove the frets for "painting" the fingerboard?

  • @Xantulle no need for that. Just rub the dye on, leave it for a little while, and wipe it off. It comes off from your frets easily and doesn't damage them in any way.

  • @TurquoiseArmies Hi. Really impressed with your technique! Just wanted to learn a bit more regarding the black dye. How did you ensure that the white dot inlays were not coloured as well? Also, how long did you leave the dye on before wiping off?

    Thanks

  • lovin the strat

  • How'd you do that thing at the start?

  • @popomczowzow Sorry for the late reply.. just press the trem arm down slightly and flick the g string behind the nut. Overdrive helps also :)

  • @TurquoiseArmies

thanks for the explanation, thanks to the video though I was able to pick it up. it's my new favorite trick!

  • since this is squier as u sad, then your hands must include some inner fender magic source!!! u rocks

  • awsome playing man! what model is that beautiful strat? 60s heavy relic?

  • @vasilissrv4 Thanks man! Originally a Squier Classic Vibe 60s. Since then heavily modded, painted, and yes; reliced by me :)

  • great job man excellent. what are you using to get that tone?

  • @b00tleg227 Thanks man! I use Line 6 Pod XT Live for all of my recordings, sometimes with an additional tube screamer or something..(check the video description).

  • that was amazing! what was that thing you did in the beginning with strings past the nut and the whammy bar? that was legit

  • holy crap!!! that was awesome....probably my fave SRV song....you def. do it justice!!!

  • Puts ! Muito bom ! 5 estrelas
