Yep, believe it or not, that goofball is actually very intelligent. He was an honor student in HS, got 1340 (out of 1600) on the SAT, and was studying Construction Science on a full college scholarship at Texas A&M. He was/is also a soccer jock. Another thing that surprise a lot of people is that he's extremely religious, and attends church weekly.

We were on the soccer team together and we dated for about 8 months. He broke it off after his brother discovered us in bed and threatened to tell people.

Just kidding. I actually wasn't a big fan of his although I found him amusing. I'm a fan now. I got the info from the wikipedia link I gave you. Read it; it's very interesting, especially the charity mixup. He also gave good interviews on Idol Extra.
